tag: five things you didn't know about me

I have managed not to be tagged by anybody until now, hiding away in my dark quiet corner, but Emily broke the spell - thanks
…even though I don't like blog games. But then I had great fun spending the last few days trying to find those five things about me that you wouldn't know but still somehow care (even though you didn't know you'd care…). And finally, the list:
So - that's done
and I in turn tag Eira, Jorunn, Lynn, Jonny and Chaals because I know they are as much into blog games as I am
- I love coffee - proper coffee is only ever made with either a moka express or a cezve.
- I can easily multitask - as long as the tasks are making use of the same communication channel: if e.g. all tasks are read/write. But if I have to read/speak, I quickly get stuck.
- I am one of two people who have done extensive research on the iconography of the transverse flute in the European Middle Ages (yes, in one of my lives I am a professional musician) - the database is not public (yet).
- I currently speak eight living European languages, and read several dead ones.
- I love dictionaries - they are the key to the world: being able to name things by their name is the first step to getting to know them.
So - that's done

I also really like coffee, but the only proper coffee is made with a Moka express? What about the Cafétière? It requires some practice to get the timing and dosage right (which can be tricky in the morning) but when done correctly, the coffee is both smooth-tasting and strong. What more can you wish for!

Glad you played, Claudio. See, it wasn't so bad, was it?

Coffee can be good in many ways, but some are better than others - to me.
For example this

Claudio's language skills are impressive, I fully expect to be out-Old Norsed this year (not too hard, I am a complete amateur in that), but I don't think he knows any Slavic languages (my last chance for a nyah-nyah-nyah).

Hypothetically taken, catching up with this could be a matter of time. But - ars longa, vita brevis.

I wonder what happened to my small collection of Old Norse texts. Still I could once read Old English and Latin too, and struggle through Ancient Greek. Middle English I think I can do still.
But I guess I have a bit of work to catch up...
вот слово хорошо is just a party trick. But maybe I should get ploughing into my language books again.

As far as slavic languages is concerned, it hypothetically is only a matter of time - but practically a bit further off for the time being.
With the exception of Romanian I cover virtually all major romance languages, the germanic ones are next…

Speaking of languages, one should never, ever forget about Mousean, even if provided with 20 other attractive speeches. Mousean is a daughter of all known (and yet unknown) languages, and, that is quite obvious to every mouse - is the language of the
What made me thinking here is that nobody even tried to spot a lie inbetween the verses of the list.
