A Review of a Classical movie

Citizen Kane, the greatest movie the world ever have, the critics said so.
I watched it this week, well, to be honest, I didn't appreciate it that much. There are some reasons made me didn't appreciate so much or I can say there're reasons that make me didn't know how to appreciate it.
First, I didn't watch it continually. Of course it was the problem of the facility. I spent 2 weeks to finish it, which made the impression of my mind vague. And I watched it in English without subtitle, sometimes I can't catch the meaning of the conversation of the characters which made me couldn't understand the film completely. So I don't know what rosebud is till now. I am ashamed to tell the truth, however, it is true.
Secondly, my knowledge of film is so poor that I don't know how to appreciate a really good movie, especially I know nothing of the how the situation is like in the movie making industry before "citizen Kane" was made which unable me to do the critic on the movie. The critic said the movie was the breaking through one, which represented a new era of movie industry. Well, what I had always watched are the movies made after "citizen Kane", I didn't remember any movie I had watched was made before its time. So I don't know what the movies were like before this movie was made. I don't want to make a stupid but arrogant review without having any of that knowledge.
But I have to say that the composition of the picture of the movie were excellent. As I like photography so much that I often analysis the composition of a photo or a picture, I do this to improve my skill in taking photos. As I watched the film, I found so many scenes that could be a really good photo. The arrangement of those scene were great, the position of the light and the shadow, the proportion, the atmosphere, the motion of the people, everything was so perfect arranged in the movie that it represented exactly what the movie needed to tell people. I am so admired to the director of the movie who made this film so perfectly to be seen. While I watched the movie, I wanted to cut those scenes down and make them my photos to decorate my room. The beauty of light and shadow is the greatest thing I discovered in this movie and I think it's the essence of black and white pictures and films, and "citizen Kane" made it to the very best.
