A City, a Dé javu

The world is so beautiful and diversified; I want to see every corner of it, I want to feel every detail of it, I want to see how great the creation of the Lord this world it is, that’s why I want to travel around the world, of course not in 80 days, it was on such a hurry. I want to spend my whole life on seeing the world. I will be on my way.I am on my way. I will try to go to some different places in my vacation. Yet, I haven’t been to many places, only few of my dream destinations I had been to. But every one of which is so impressive that I will never forget.
In this summer vacation, I went to the ancient town, Phoenix, not the on in America, but the one in Hunan Province, China.
Phoenix City, a lovely and poetic town in the novels and proses of a great writer, Shencongwen, is remotely hidden in the embrace of the mountains in western Hunan Province. The city is so hidden and small, you can’t fly there, and there is even no railroad linked, the only way to get there is by bus, or you can walk like the local denizens do, as you like. Of course most tourist like me will choose to take bus. The road is narrow and built all along the side of the mountains, when you are on the bus, you look down, then you get very afraid for there is the cliff just right on your side. All the way long I was so scared as we were driving at night on those roads right beside the cliff and all the news stories about how the tour buses fell of the mountain kept coming back to my mind.
Finally I got to Phoenix City, and turns out all the tired and the entire scare are worth it.
It was night when I get there, but it’s not too late. Immediately after I took shower in the hotel room I went to the bank of the Tuojiang River, which flows gently through the city. It was quiet at night, some lights from the houses by the riverside shone onto the water, and then the quietly flowing water reflected the warm colour of the light. The whole environment is dark but it was translucent as crystal. Peaceful is what I felt, at that time.
The next morning, I woke up in bed, and look out the window, I saw the great mountains. The mountains around the Phoenix City was like a mother, which arms surrounded around the city, embraced the city tenderly like it was her baby. And the mountains also surrounded all the people in the city, protected them, comforted them, made them feel like home. I was a tourist, I was a passenger, but I felt like home when I was in the Phoenix city. It was so unreal, it was a de javu, and suddenly you felt like you are in some of your preexistence. I know this might sound unbelievable, but once you get to the Phoenix city, you will understand.
