The Most Annoying Day of a Year
Monday, March 12, 2007 10:44:38 AM
this was the article i wrote in winter holiday, now i post it to you.
The spring festival, the most ridiculer’s day in China. The whole nation gone crazy before the festival, in the festival and got exhausted after it.
Tomorrow night is the Chinese New Year’s Eve, is the time for the gathering for the whole family, which means a day’s hard work in kitchen and an annoying noisy dinner and some not too pleasant conversation with your “relatives”. But this is just the beginning of the festival nightmare.
After the Chinese New Year’s Eve is the first day of the year, there are lots of things to do, which all concern about bringing good luck in the coming year. There’s lots of things you couldn’t say on that day, because those words will bring you bad luck, especially something related to die, poor or something like that.
And in the coming week is all about visiting friends, relatives and the people who had helped you or going to help you. It’s all about “thanks”, but in a hypocritical way, at least this is how I felt.
Spring festival is the whole nation’s fiesta, the whole country is in an extremely excited condition, like drug-used, but mentally, not physically.
People from other country might think that spring festival is a good expression of Chinese culture. Yes, it is. But the traditional spirit in this festival is dying, so are the moral and custom. Now is hypocrisy, which succeeded the traditional spirit, and also commercial is the new winner of this spring fiesta.
Alas, spring festival is so annoying now. Why? People changed, including me. We treat the festival differently. What annoying me now is not the festival but actually the people?

I saw you from a distance today but you were too far away to get your attention. I'm glad to see you are back to blogging. You thoughts on the Spring Festival are interesting and it is a shame that the morals are changing, it is exactly the same with Christmas in the west.

maybe the world is changing, so does everything. we might need to be used to all these changes.
we should be with the tide of the time. should we?
or should we keep mourn the dying old moral?
i don't know~~
