I love gourmet quality dining, but I never acquired a taste for Escargot; Nary the type for intentionally squishing snails underfoot; With hardly a thought I flung them into the neighbors’ hedge.
Teal Honda sedan parked in residential neighborhood around corner and few blocks from my apartment: Traffic hazardous political self-expression stickers all over the rear; Bauhaus CD on passenger seat. (That is only a third of the scenes I photoed along the way, and I proceed cautiously and carefully in these “stuff on the street” photo-journalistic pics.) Spent $10 at a charity thrift store: Teal LL Bean fleece zipper jacket (excellent condition); Eagle Creek padded case (like new set addition); matching small leather handbag (for desktop organization; I’m not much of a tiny purse type); Pair latte mugs; Teal coffee mug; Basket (for porch garden refurbishing) Book: A Child Called “It”, by Dave Pelzer 1995 (California child abuse case, published by Chicken Soup Soul guys) Omelete pan (like new) with screws in places I never would have imagined-Pull right and left handle levers flips sides inward. Recapitulating with Fizzle; The complete version of the poem cited upon that momentous occasion.
I meant to do my work today But a brown bird sang in the apple tree, And a butterfly flirted across the field, And all the leaves were calling me. And the wind went sighing over the land, Tossing the grasses to and fro. And rainbow held out its shining hand--- So what could I do but laugh and go?
Richard Le Gallienne
I've sorta had my mind on other things besides this during the past few weeks; My Operatic creativity bio-rhythms are on a low eb; I'll get that annual paper written soon.
Mission Accomplished
This is a day for reasserting the proposition that the people can be trusted to govern themselves, and for reorienting ourselves along paths towards realizing this blessed concept. Democracy, with its freedoms and responsibilities, must be reinforced, lest it perish by fault or default.
This is my para-phrase (with editorial adjustments allowing minor differences of perspective)of prose
from daily inspirational writings-Today Is Mine
Leroy Brownlow (1972)
Freedom's Preservation
On this Fourth of July let us rededicate ourselves to the proposition that the people can be trusted to govern themselves. Let us resolve anew that this hallowed concept, bathed in the blood of heroic men and washed in the tears of courageous women, shall not perish by fault or default.
Democracy's success rests on us, the people......................
Keeping in mind Tweedy might actually out-grow this terrain and region of the woods; One of these days (and don’t assume Sesame Street is the only way to go or that Big Bird is the next in rank; Disney might think that is some sort of sueable loss.
Otherwise, anticipating some dissying dissent brought on by some unwielding haxman, I pondered alternate routes for recapitulating my avatar’s transformations over the past year. “Catwalk” seems somehow risky- Culturin-Mezza’s Avatar Images Off the Catwalk- I opted for another album if the blog bogs down again posting pics.
Rumor has it that the canary is going on sabbatical starting summer; Another feathered freak is already lined up and will step up in timely fashion so that my presence in the forums can continue uninterrupted.
I'll try to keep bloggin' along at the Opera; My busy schedule might not cooperate with their's, tho. Glitches interfere with posts I compose keeping everything under wraps for undisclosed time-being. In the meantime- Keep an open throat, Breath from the diaphragm and stay tuned.
Exactly what about this video is "inspirational" is rather an inside Opera community joke; Readers new at the scene here, probably won't understand the utter tongue-in-cheekiness; Certainly not intended for taking seriously (unless one gets the joke); Anyways, it's really junk; Anyway one looks at it.
Returning along the winding decline from my visit with Grumps, I encountered a conspicuous and playful SUV; And I thought of Opera’s extremely diligent-perhaps hyperactively so- Member Tamil, and his sudden expulsion from the community the previous day; (Actually only an April Fools prank, and he has resumed his usual presence.) The Opera blog post about his newsworthy banning mentioned something about inappropriate occupation of bandwidth by gargantuan Happy Face; Anyways, I saw this and thought of Opera.
