"Sunseting Opera"~ reappearing theme in my encounters on the boulevard and in cyberspace~
Commemorating local Opera company anniversary these banners line the main street~
Coincided same day I read MyOpera's announcement closing in few months~
I find it hard to down play the significance of my seven years citizenship in this diverse amusing talented mysterious community in the universe of internet social media

SolFetching Statistics Could Result In Some Enchanting Melodic Motifs
Yesterday I posted this on forum thread~
6 Million Members Countdown
Twixt Earth Day & Easter ~
OC member counting likens to managing stockpiled jelly beans~
My silly calculations indicate 4422~25 new Opera members daily until suddenly
around March 5th OC member stats no longer appeared on Opera site
Dec 7 ~ I predicted 7 million around March 21
Since March 5th I adjust my estimate and guess sometime near the Summer Solstice
March 4th~ 6515458 OC members ~ 484542 less than 7 mil
At 4422~25 a day ~ Summer Solstice projected date for this numerologically propitious milestone

In 21 days
Opera Community membership increased 144444~
Daily sign up count stays 7000

Local TV channel currently airing MIT seminars on topic of web environs~ mobile tech~ etcetra~ including social media~ mainstream communities~
Twitter and all the public blog and forum venues versus work setting company based online cronie clubs
Nowadays seems more impossible than ever leaving the job scene behind at 5pm
Career image maintenance and networking-obsessed nerds~~~~~ at 3 & 4 am~~~~~~
I’m still here on the Opera stage
Abbreviating and sparing time exploring this community significantly since joining in 2006~
MIT can pick up where I left off on this~ I delegate gladly
I still love Opera~ nevertheless
and look forward with best wishes on achievement of the encroaching
5 million member milestone
Blogging here is an activity I approach with reserve and some trepidation
With four years experience under my hat~
Or does this really belong under my belt?
I can enthusiastically declare “It’s a weird wondrous world up here!
Opera doesn’t seem particularly unique in this regard~
My other blog sites function likewise with fluctuating productivity~
Public blogging in general seems dubiously meriting of valuable productive
hours and resources
Participating in forum threads practically ceased altogether since last year
mostly from reticence committing time for the discourse~
I rarely read threads now and only on subjects of particular intellectual interest~
Opera's community has admirable intelligent posters informed on subjects of vital interest

After three years of observing with detachment~
I view this paradigm with sporadic suspicion and respect
Reluctance usually prevails whenever I consider whether or not to increase my participation in the Opera community
This in no way reflects negatively on those individuals commenting here on my blog~ photos or interacting on discussion and lounge threads I’ve ventured into~
or including me amongst Friends
These exchanges I find genuinely interesting and usually enjoyable
Nevertheless~ engaging in ongoing process here seems always fraught with ambivalence or lacking adequate time wherewithal
Life in Cyberspace is a lot weirder than most people think at first glimpse~
On that most of us can agree

Opera staff~ bogged down momentarily with website server chores~ have the community in a dizzying state of confusion regarding disappearance of friends and some links on member pages
Some are quite in a tizzy~ understandable since the changes were unannounced~ giving community members no warning or opportunity for adjusting schedule for usage of the Opera site
Opera could be an even more wonderful place~ if only everyone could take an extended coffee or tea break and enjoy some
Discussion of this spell of website fluctuation and uncertainty~ including explanation and reassurance from EspenAO~ takes place on Opera’s blog
Grawity~ according to Culturin-Mezza special significance impacted by this episode~ can be reviewed at following link
I think it's time I lick my fingers of that sticky post
I wish my readers have a pleasurable visit at my blog

Phew!.....Hot times keeps Culturin alert and trippin’ the shutter with
Opera Monkeys~~~supposedly vacationing on the continent across the Atlantic~~~I have proof of their presence here in 2006 and 2008.

Recapitulating with Fizzle;
The complete version of the poem cited upon that momentous occasion.
I meant to do my work today
But a brown bird sang in the apple tree,
And a butterfly flirted across the field,
And all the leaves were calling me.
And the wind went sighing over the land,
Tossing the grasses to and fro.
And rainbow held out its shining hand---
So what could I do but laugh and go?
Richard Le Gallienne
I've sorta had my mind on other things besides this during the past few weeks;
My Operatic creativity bio-rhythms are on a low eb;
I'll get that annual paper written soon.

Winding Up-n-Down for My Opera Anniversary #2
Keeping in mind Tweedy might actually out-grow this terrain and
region of the woods;
One of these days~
and don’t assume Sesame Street is the only way to go
or that Big Bird is the next in rank;
Disney might think that is some sort of sueable loss.
anticipating some dissying dissent brought on by some unwielding haxman,
I pondered alternate routes for recapitulating my avatar’s transformations over
the past year.
“Catwalk” seems somehow risky-
Culturin-Mezza’s Avatar Images Off the Catwalk-
I opted for another album if the blog bogs down again posting pics.
Rumor has it that the canary is going on
sabbatical starting summer;
Another feathered freak is already lined up
and will step up in timely fashion
so that my presence in the forums can continue uninterrupted.
Until then, Opera will be kept in suspense.

I'll try to keep bloggin' along at the Opera;
My busy schedule might not cooperate with their's, tho.
Glitches interfere with posts I compose keeping everything under wraps for undisclosed time-being.
In the meantime-
Keep an open throat,
Breath from the diaphragm
and stay tuned.

Returning along the winding decline from my visit with Grumps,
I encountered a conspicuous and playful SUV;
And I thought of Opera’s extremely diligent-perhaps hyperactively so-
Member Tamil, and his sudden expulsion from the community the previous day;
Actually only an April Fools prank, and he has resumed his usual presence.
The Opera blog post about his newsworthy banning mentioned something about inappropriate occupation of bandwidth by gargantuan Happy Face;
Anyways, I saw this and thought of Opera.

I had to spank that smackin’ monkey.
After a few days, the auditory junk from the free download Fun Card
with a geeky goofy Valentine monkey and his sweet and adoring smooches
at first brought a silly charm, then eventually subverted the overall
ambiance of my Opera stage.
I really rather liked him---would have gladly let him stay;
If only the music jingles were muteable and better under control.
So, out into the cold he went;
Curtains for that borderline creepy dude.
Same for other non-Opera Valentine goodies that accompanied my blogging for that mythical day.

Update Stubborn Santa CSSituation-
That snag was in my head; finally I'm out of the red.
Gotta get CSS-ed, so my Opera blog and webpage can be max creative and individualized.
Until then this isn't #1 priority on agenda;
I wish more Opera folk would submit page design CSS.
More urgent: all my post headers are suddenly oversized font.
No idea how that happened; haven't noticed any similar complaints from others.
Obviously those monkeys are still stalking me and menacing my every move
making my Opera presence mainstream magnificent.
Or a little help from my friends.
Comments welcome, of course.

I have written an overview of my first year on Opera.com and after considering how I might share this important part of my experience, I think it best that I offer it on basis of responding with PMs and sending the entire paper for those who request it.
Upon completion of this paper, I realize a newsletter published 3, 4 or maybe even 6 times a year
might be a worthwhile project; the advantage of this publication being that it spares subscribers
wasting some valuable lounge surfing hours.
I'm feeling overworked, already.
8 pages, 3000 words of my typically rather heavy writing style: no filler, fluff or repetitious explanations, length arbitrarily determined by constraints of self-set time structure leaving much for further writing, always raising lots of questions. I tend toward long sentences and multi-layered phrases, so readers have to slow down and think.
Whenever possible I highlight main ideas and premises.
And I try to maintain correct usage of commas and semi-colons.

Opening (and least interesting) paragraph-Opera invokes and accommodates creativity. In theme, Opera seemed ideal for exploring what online blogging, forum exchange and exhibiting of artwork and photography entail without investing in my own website. My Space, Blogger, Face Book, AOL blogs and photo albums offer more or less the same thing, yet their community component seems rather unwieldy by comparison. It is the community cohesiveness that makes Opera more interesting than the rest. My DSL includes website feature including nice templates, etcetera, plus many e-mail boxes, and I keep thinking I’ll get that underway one of these days.
It’s really just a matter of time and work priorities.

"I meant to do my work today
But a brown bird sang in the apple tree...
And all the leaves were calling me.
And the wind went sighing over the land...
So what could I do but laugh and go?"
Richard Le Gallienne
"To the Opera!"
This I excerpted from the inspirational verse for today on my desktop's daily dose,
and I think it suits my mood at this momentus occasion,
at least in tenor.
So this shall be my overture for all in the Opera Community.
