Baby steps to a lovely web

My Opera

,

I just set up my Ubuntu at home like a charm, everything is working, since I have dial up connection, now I use Thunderbird and Pidgin (well, the latter has issues but works, ah, and Opera Turbo too, but it also has issues with forms) and I could make my firefox very usable, with my tabs on left which I found out that, even too weird at first, it does save a lot of space and sanity because you don't have to read a long line and hide many others. And if you like, you can let it has some thumbnails. Well, I always liked Opera because the tabs were up the navigation bar, which is great, and now I see that I can set the tabs on left on Opera too. And Opera has almost everything I need by default, irc client, torrent, speed dial and it just works better then their counterparts on Firefox. Of course, it doesn't have firebug, which is the core of my work as web developer (firefly is still sooo slow and doesn't highlight the DOM), but well, when I'm not working, now I choose Opera.
Ah, and I love Taboo extension on Firefox, I could get a Read It Later buttons on my Opera, but I see that I have make them more usable, hope that I can get it working on a taboo way, see, it even give you cool challenges.
Firefox is complete, but heavy, Opera is smooth and light.

Yes, I love Open Source, but we have to get a ride with free software sometimes

Firefox redirects to localhost.com

Now, when there's a problem about my django application and try to access it (I use port 80 as default to my runserver) firefox insists of redirecting to localhost.com
So annoying

So I found this trick:

in firefox type about:config and change the setting for:

browser.fixup.alternate.enabled to false

thanks duckworth

be aware, no more redirects in firefox
