McAllen Police says 27-year-old Hector Castro was charged Monday after his Saturday arrest. Castro is being held on $1 million bond at the Hidalgo County jail,
Castro told investigators the toddler wouldn't stop crying while he was trying to watch the U.S.-Ghana matchup Saturday.
The child was severely beaten and suffered several broken ribs. Police say a screw or bolt was forced down her throat in an apparent attempt to make it look like she choked to death. It was clear the screw was not related to her death and police were quickly called to the apartment, where four other children survived.
Castro is an illegal immigrant. I wonder what happens to him.
Does he get deported? Given back to Pres. Felipe Calderon to protect and support?
You know that if all these bleeding hearts won't let us ask him for his papers, they sure are not going to let us fry him.
Then again, the little girl had a screw. Maybe she was using it as a weapon and he killed her in self defense. After all, he is entitled a defense attorney and should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. With all the appeals, we will be supporting Castro for many, many years before he can even be sentenced.
Then again, maybe our new hero, Pres. Felipe Calderon, will woe our Administration again and we will just let this scum go free.
Who knows in a world where there is no clear right or wrong, no clear legal or illegal?
