Maggie's Meanderings

Who, What, Where, When, Why

Bristol, Sunday May 9

Sunday May 9 found me in Bristol a city I had never visited before. It was freezing cold, damp, dull & the city rather leaden looking ..... not an altogether attractive or warm place to be. Never mind, for I was meeting up with an old BBTa cycling mate who had returned to live in England. Sheila now resides in Worcester, a small town near the Welsh border and about an hour from Bristol. Chatting over lunch with an Sheila and catching up with all her news/gossip was a great way of blocking out the bitterly cold day outside ... it really was dreadful weather.

We did manage to eventually pry ourselves loose from the warmth of the hotel and brave the elements. Sheila is a member of the University of the Third Age taking English history & anthropology classes. She was a great guide as we wandered the canals, river bank and town centre of Bristol. Check out the photo album of Bristol for an idea of what one can expect to see there. Having exhausted all our news and gossip, checked out the city and done our daily walking exercise we parted company early evening. Sheila to return to Worcester and me to get organised for the start of my Jean Moss 10 day Knitting & Garden tour. You can ncheck out Jean's site on www.jeanmoss.com

Life north of the EquatorMonday May 10 .... the start of the Jean Moss tour.
