Regardless of your party affiliation it is important to vote today. The stakes are higher than previous elections.
We are facing difficult times and the two main parties have very different definitions about how the country should run.
Either be PresidentBarack Obama or GovernorMitt Romney is your choice to elect who will run this country.

Watching the weather on TV, and hearing how epic the predictions are about this so call doomsday storm. It almost feel that this will be the storm of the century.

I expect Sandy's impacts along the mid-Atlantic coast and New England coasts to cost at least $2 billion in insured damage and lost business, and there is a danger the storm could cost much more. Steve Bowen, meteorologist for insurance broker AON Benfield, put it this way for me this morning: "Given the level of losses associated with Irene last year and the current projections of extended high wind, heavy rainfall, coastal surge and an inland flooding threat for many of the same areas with Sandy, it would not come as a complete surprise to see a multi-billion dollar economic loss." Sandy should bring sustained winds of 50 - 70 mph with gusts over hurricane force to a large section of coast. With most of the trees still in leaf, there will be widespread power outages due to downed trees, and the potential for a billion dollars in wind damage.
If he had lived he would be a month away from his 69th birthday. The first time I heard Hendrix everything changed for me. It made me want to be a musician, and not just a rock guitar player. Jimi Hendrix became my number one influence since that day.
This zip line is different from all the others. For this one, you are put into a large body harness, and you lay down and get attached to the cables from your back. So you are flying through the air like a bird (or Superman or Ironman). As far as I know, it is the only one of its kind like this in Puerto Rico.
At 4745 feet, it is almost a mile long (one of the longest zip lines in the world) and it is really, really high off the ground (853 feet)!
I don't know if I'll be willing to ride that thing. But I will like to check it out next time I'll go to Puerto Rico.
Star Trek became a great influence in my life. It made me a geek and into space and science. Watching Star Trek made me question everything and learn from the answers.
Today my favorite version of Batman, Batman: The Animated Series is 20 years. I remember seen the first Batman: The Animated Series commercials for the Fox channel afternoon cartoon lineup and thinking that this Batman might be just like the previous Super Friends incarnation. But after watching "Heart of Ice", I was totally blown away by the feel and dark style of this series. Batman was finally closer to the comic books! Plus Kevin Conroy became the ultimated voice of Batman with this series. I still haven't seen anything like it! I have always been a fan of Batman of the comic books. The first version of Batman for me was the Batman TV Series with Adam West witch still hold a special place for me for been the first. But this version is the one that started my big obsession with Batman.
With many characters out there that don't have comics been written about them, which would you choose to star in their own title? submitted by GL-2814

I have had Lot 13 suggested to me, but are there any others? While I don't expect them to be as good as Locke & Key, it's my favorite genre, so I'd love to know more. Also, is there any good, reliable way to keep updated on some more obscure releases? I met Joe Hill on Friday, an ...
