Last Sunday 18 March, we went to this farm to buy roses for the daughter of our friend who, for the first time had given birth to a son in the hospital close our place.
It was cloudy when we drove off from home and then suddenly heavy rains poured down while we were on our way (forty minutes drive from home), and then sunny when we're at the premises of the rose farm. What an unpredictable weather!
The farm was huge. There were roses already blooming in the open air as well as inside the glass houses in varying colors. Also, another garden was being on the preparation stage for planting. The farm is located on a hilly ground. We we're quite lucky because it was sunny right then.
Flowers here are for all kinds of occasions, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
I saw some gardeners inside a glass house harvesting roses, blooming roses! These roses were then classified according to sizes and then delivered to shops or florists. At the parking area was a truck waiting to be loaded with lovely roses.
The roses are quite cheap compared to those being sold at shops.
We delivered the roses we bought around four in the afternoon, the visiting time for patients inside the hospital.
