UPDATE - August 13/2010[/b] It has just been brought to my attention that some people thought Larry died from his episode five months ago at the hospital, however he died quietly at home August 5/2010.
Larry asked me to write this BLOG and approved it, when he was beaten in the hospital, but he did recover, and was having a rough time, with other medical conditions but died in his sleep peacefully August 5/2010. The original posting (BLOG) was made in "March 2010."
If anyone has any inquiries please don't hesitate to leave a message here at the bottom (comments) and I will get in touch with you.

UPDATE - August 5/2010
Sadly, our friend Larry Blaine Solar died quietly today unexpectedly. The only info I have at this time is he was cremated and a service will be held later this week, but it will only be very small memorial for close friends and Family.
He died of a sudden heart attack in his sleep.[/i]

Well Canada did it, we won the hockey and most GOLD medals ever in Winter Olympic history.

, ,

Yes our Canadian Hockey team won the GOLD over USA at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics but the US have nothing to be ashamed of as they played one of the best games I have ever seen. It could have never been scripted better and I said when USA tied up the game with 20 seconds remaining in the game, not disappointment but glee since this was going to overtime.

Fluery was not played, Why?
Anything to do with the fact that the coach was the coach of the team he beat for the NHL Stanley Cup last spring?

                                                                                              Our first GOLD medal winner.
I always like overtime and that way it can be anyones game and fortunately it was Canada but it could of been the USA. They won a SILVER so they are still the second best in the world.
One thing I was disappointed about was that the player above Fleury a goalie with Pittsburg Penquins was on Team Canada but he didn't get played once in the whole tournament. I started thinking about it and the coach of Team Canada was the coach of Detroit Red Wings who lost last year in the NHL finals to Pittsburg. Do you think he had a bit of a grudge?

Oh yes the GOLD medals Canada won were the most that have ever been won in the history of the Winter Olympics not sure about Summer Olympics.

Canada beats Russia 7-3 in quarter-final tonight on to the semi-final for medal round.

, ,

What a great game Canada beat Russia 7-3 tonight and now head to the semi-finals if they win the next game they are guaranteed a medal in the Vancouver Olympics 2010.
It's far from being over yet but Go Canada, Go I just hope they meet the USA in the final that would be a wonderful rematch.

Canada wins another Gold in Ice Dance at Vancouver Olympics 2010.

,

Canada won another gold in Ice Dance last night and it truly was a wonderful performance. I'm not into figure skating but it really was a great show. It seems a lot of people like it and it gets a great following. I can't say the same for "Curling" I still don't get it but obviously someone likes it.

Gwen Stefani and I thought it was Madonna.

,

This is a great song and I'm not even into music very much, but love it. At first when I saw it I thought she was Madonna but a little young I think.
But she really is great, even if you don't like music videos.

Winter Olympics 2010 in Vancouver terribble tragedy Athlete dies opening day.

,

This is about the Olympics 2010 in Vancouver and the terrible death of the young man on the right at the beginning of the Olympics. He was only 21 years old from the Republic of Georgia. He died when he fell off the track during the luge run and hit a steel bar which was unprotected by any kind of foam padding. It is clear that there are still all kinds of steel bars still exposed but the IOC (International Olympic Committee) still give us their “stock” answers that the track is "safe". If the track is safe why then did they modify it with an extra wall and protection around some of the steel barriers along the side of the track?

I watched last night the small track speed skating and the broadcasters mentioned that the side of the arena (the boards) is actually a 1-2 foot thick foam padding that is cushioned if an athlete falls into it?

Why is there protection for skaters but not for lugers? Again last night in the two man bobsled race there was an accident but everyone was okay when the bobsled turned over on a curve and I am sure all of the IOC members are holding their breath hoping another tragedy does not occur. It’s shameful that these events do not take safety as the number one thing.

Take a close look at the eye on the skier shooting his gun, you have to look hard to see it but he has some kind of patch near his eye I think it is to block out the sunshine from the sights of the rifle.

I have a new word for RUSH HOUR in downtown. Because it's NOT a rush "HOUR" any longer?

, , ,

I think it should be in the dictionary it's

"RUSH FOWER" meaning it's four (4 hours) at least.
It was many years ago when it was a rush hour but now it takes at least "fower hours" to get home a take off on four hours.
Any thoughts?
