Listen up, hockey fans and electronics aficionados: Hockey Night in Canada is going 3D.
And the best news is, you have time to search the market for a 3D television (a little late now unless you have one) that will suit your needs.
The second 3D broadcast available during the 2010-11 NHL season is scheduled for Feb. 20 at McMahon Stadium in Calgary when the Flames host the Canadiens in the Heritage Classic.
"This is a Canadian first and a very exciting time for television and hockey in Canada."
1st slate of games coming hockey fans will require a special 3D TV and glasses to view the games, which will be aired on a still-to-be-determined separate channel (it has been announced it will be carried by Rogers and other carriers across Canada on a special channel for people with a 3D television) from regular HD broadcasts.
"With our expertise and cutting-edge products, it makes sense to partner with the CBC to help bring the first-ever 3D hockey viewing experience into Canadian living rooms." As long as you have a 3D television.Daniel ... Toronto, CANADA

This is very exciting news, and because of it, I searched around the house for my 3D glasses, but unfortunately you need more than 3D glasses. You also will need a 3D TV and I do not have one yet. But I have been trying to find out if anyone will be broadcasting the game on a 3D TV anywhere around the Toronto area, but have been unable to find one.
If anyone knows of any place that has a 3D television let us all know here, I know it's short notice, but we want to know, so we can see the game in 3D.
