Climate's changing... Can you?!
Thursday, 15. October 2009, 00:07:31

Change is consistent in being inconsistent as change changes in a blink of an eye. It is just a matter of time... and a matter of consistency. Change is inevitable. Same for the host of all living things, Mother Earth is changing. I guess you have heard of global warming, ice caps and glaciers melting, and the rest that implicates a change - it is often referred as climate change.
Are you aware of what is going on? Or do you even care? Or maybe you enjoy watching movies that depicts human extinction. Is it really possible that the human race will have it's fatal end? Who knows, maybe in a million years. But that doesn't give us the right to stop caring and nurturing our beloved earth.
Climate change is ever present. It has been going on since time began. There are factors that cause such change like Plate tectonics, Solar output, Orbital variations, Volcanism, Ocean variability and the biggest contributor is Human influences.
You may ask, "what did I do?" Oh, worry not because you are not alone. There are things we do in our everyday life that contributes to global warming. Should I tell you? Or you would start asking yourself what you have done to harm Mother Earth? After reading this, you might want to check your local newspaper or tune in to a radio station or better yet ask someone and join in an organization. The truth is, if an individual commits something that harms our environment and those individuals collectively and regularly do it, i don't know what would happen in the years to come. Anyway, those individuals runs their own companies, factories that emit greenhouse gases, individuals who drive cars or buses that pollutes the air with excessive carbon dioxide, those who cut off trees in the forest and illegal logging - deforestation, and i am sure you can add more to this list. And also those individuals who throw their garbage anywhere and everywhere, are you one of them too?
Look at the big picture, these are also effects of climate change like famine, poverty and war. How could they all be related? Since humans are the major influence in climate change, end result will be that humans also suffer. There have been war, famine and poverty even before climate change is discussed and we are making it worse. Try to remember El Niño and La Niña phenomenon, disease outbreak due to unnatural habitat, and because of the scarcity of food and not suitable place to live, war will be a solution for some. Invasion, territorial claims. I'll stop there before i exaggerate. Most likely, that would be the scenario.
Change, as i have said is consistent. If you are wondering what i am talking about, why i haven't explained much and why didn't i elaborate what this write up is going to regarding climate change. Well, i left you questions to answer. Maybe some knows more facts or some know less. What i want is that you, yes... the one reading this is YOU, would feel the urge to know more about it, about climate change and take action. Change is the key. Think about it. Think what you can do to help. Change your thought, change your heart, change your mind and be consistent in fighting the inevitable climate change.
Human influences are the biggest contributor to climate change, if all individuals can influence i hope i did influence you to change and help restore Mother Earth.

Global Warming is very alarming. The last picture is enough for me to be aware on how climate change will change us.

Be sure that if we keep polluting and wrecking our planet at the rythm we are now, the mayans prophecy will come true and the end of the world will be by 2012...
We need to start realizing that and understanding that we have the power to choose how many generations of humans will still live!!!
Another great post as always! thnx for the moment of thinking daneru
