“It’s freezing” I said. On Tuesday, Ruma Kowhai and Ruma Rata went to Matiu Island to learn about New Zealand’s history. It was raining and it was freezing cold, but we had to keep up as a class. My mum was coming as well and my group mate were Izabella, Katya, Susana and me!! We walked to Te Papa and we went to the Queen Wharf’s ferry. When we arrived there, we went in the Kiore Whare to check our bag to see if we have any pests and that was when it started raining. I felt so bored. I couldn’t help thinking that the sun would never come up that day. But I never knew that I'd soon be really interested in the trip.

Ø And the Monument is the last place

Then, I wanted to go to the Gun Emplacement, but Susana(one of the group mates)was bursted to go to the toilet. So we had to go back to the Kiore Whare to wait, and we never got to the Gun Emplacement. Boo hoo. Then, we waited for the rest to come and sailed back to Te Aro School.

This is Katya. She is very girlish but she is never afraid of anything because her mouth is always the biggest in our class!!
