Anyhow, I wanted to share the research I had to do in regards to keeping my gluten-free diet while on this trip. Maintaining my diet used to be inconvenient in Norway. But in recent years I can pick up bread, pasta, and basic pastries in every grocery store. Almost every restaurant waitress have had to answer for the gluten contents of their menus at least a few times.
Walking into a restaurant and asking for gluten-free dishes (or even
potrawy bezglutenoweas suggested by Google Translate) in Wrocław is not really a good idea. The poor level of English when it comes to the exact detailed ingredients of the dishes and virtually non-existent awareness of coeliac disease made this a hopeless venture. I needed better alternatives.
