Update: RC 2
It is looking really good and we are very exited about the great progress we have had for this release. We have a gorgeous new interface. It is just great. And with the all new Carakan script engine: we’re the fastest browser on the planet. It is just amazing. We think you are going to love it. Steve Jobs
Okay, so the above may not have been a real Steve-quote. But it is definitely what the Mac team is feeling about this release! I will let a big screenshot (click for full-size) do the rest of the talking:
- 10.51 was released for Windows with a 27% speed improvement on Peacekeeper (a popular benchmark test)
- In the first 10.52 snapshot release, Mac sees an additional 25% boost on Peacekeeper
For Windows only, but the Mac release is right around the corner and Linux is not far behind either.
Give Opera 10.50 a try!
If you have Growl installed on your Mac, then Opera can push all notifications about new email, IRC activity, completed file transfers, widgets, and more through Growl.
What that means is that you can setup custom notifications in Growl rather than the not so pretty notifications we have been using.
