Xubuntu 7.10 works fine..

..and fixes my laptop's previous problems, especially with the wireless chip.

In other news:
The deputy mayor of the Indian capital Delhi has died a day after being attacked by a horde of wild monkeys.

SS Bajwa suffered serious head injuries when he fell from the first-floor terrace of his home on Saturday morning trying to fight off the monkeys.

Not exactly Ram's monkey army from a Ramayana, but peanuts-powered Hanuman's incarnations nonetheless.

I just downloaded the live CD last week. Haven't had a chance to burn it and give it a try yet.
I wonder if any of this is behind Opera's decision to get rid of the server monkeys.

I try, but I just can't get along with Ubuntu. For a start it refuses to recognise my modem. I prefer Mandriva but anything past M2006 won't work on my machine, well, not yet anyway.

I'm thinking I might try PCLinOS, but I may need an injection of monkey glands first.

Got it.If anyone else is as dumb as me:

Need Opera 9.5 beta
latest flash
and go to: http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-644075.html
and just keep going down the list untill it works. I think if you run Gutsy it is easier, but that uses too much resources for this old computer.. Thanks again,
I owe one
