Why introduce ICT into the curriculum??
- about ICT - as a subject of study
- With ICT - make learning more effective
- Through ICt - new goals & new processes in ed
Education & societal change:
apprenticeship -> standised production
21st century competencies
- premise: new abilities needed for the knowledge society
- lifelong learning ability
- ability to use ICT for all facets of life, for work or leisure, professional or social purposes
New learning goals require new pedagogical practices (Corcoran, 1993)
Emerging pedagogical paradigm
Emerging--due to the changing environment, some new practices would be more dominant/popular.
What will our classroom be like twenty years later??
- more autonomous learning environment
- teacher as a guide

- parents are more involved
