I don't know what I did right but lately random magicians have been adding me as friends on facebook. From these new friends I hear about different magical happenings in the world. Recently, one of these magicians performed at the world famous Magic Castle. Luckily for us he posted a large portion of his performance on YouTube. Enjoy, this could have easily been posted as a Friday Humor post.

My Friday humor posts have featured Flight of the Conchords many times. The second season has taken a little getting used to, as the humor is slightly different. The songs are written to the story instead of the other way around ( as was the case with the first season ). Episode 5 really clicked with me and so I started looking back at some of the songs from the season. There have been some good ones. This post features a new rap song called "Hurt Feelings".

Neil Patrick Harris is an actor I've grown up with. I watched him on Doogie Howser, MD and recently featured him in another Friday Humor post as Dr. Horrible. The thing I like about NPH is that he made his way past Doogie Howser, MD and is doing other things with his acting. And yet, he keeps going back to that Doogie Howser well for a little bit of humor.

One of my favorite bands is Rush. As a bassist I think Geddy Lee is awesome. So today, in honor of the coldest day I have ever felt in Wilmington ( my Dad who lives in Montana would still laugh at my feeble chilly weather ) I thought I would pass on a little of Geddy Lee's advice for sledding. Irony is a word that is misused a lot. Ever since the movie Reality Bites, which had a scene specifically about the definition of irony, I've made a point to be clear what is and isn't irony. This gets me in trouble with people, especially those who like Alanis Morrisette and the song "Ironic", which unfortunately talks about a lot of things that are not ironic. In that way the song is actually ironic. It happened again this morning, I started pestering somebody about their incorrect use of the word irony and they used the song as proof that they were correct. Thankfully, comedy came to the rescue.

A friend at work introduced me to this humorous musical show created by Joss Whedon during the writers strike. It is a brilliant piece of humor and art. I would love to see more but, as with something else by Joss Whedon, it doesn't appear to be in the cards. Oh well, this is long and split into three parts but well worth your time to watch.
