Salmonsens leksikon - the danish encyclopedia my great grandfather was chief editor of.

My great grandfather Christian Blangstrup was chief editor of the oldest and most esteemed danish newspaper Berlingske Tidende, and chief editor of the most famous and until recently only danish national encyclopedia, a massive 26 brick library with schemes and fold-out maps called Salmonsens Konversationsleksikon, which I was allowed to page through at my grandmother’s home when a child—if I had washed my hands. She said I could inherit her crocodile skinned edition, but I never got it, only due to a kind librarian at Allerød library and her brother I now have—many years after—a fine edition of my great grandfathers encyclopedia at my bookshelves.
