Hi my name is David Aponte Resto and here are some photos. I have taken from my sculpture on the island of
Puerto Rico, is the second oldist city of the new world. It's full of tradicion, culture and forklord.
May 2004 I was commissioned by the Honorble Mayor William Miranda Marin of the City of Caguas to commemorate the contribution, of our black race, made on the island. I compose a monument of a Free black man 13 feet tall playing a bass drum called Buliador native to the island and two dances 8 feet tall all made of branzes. Celabrateing the abolishment of slavery on the island from Spain 1873. On March 22,2007 mark the unveiling of 134 years of freedom. I called it Rhythm. I hope you like like it. you comment would be greatly appciated.
