If you'd like to check out the quiz before seeing the answers, go to this previous post. If you are ready to see the answers, proceed.

For each lettered item below, the first photo is from the quiz; the photo which follows it shows the animal in its entirety. If you click on the entire animal, you will go to the photo album where you can see an even larger version of the image.

  1. Moose

  2. Gorilla thumb

  3. Front foot of kangaroo

  4. Tail of red panda

  5. Eyes of orangutan

  6. Hind foot of komodo dragon

  7. Eye of the North American pronghorn

I would like to thank all the good sports who played the game! There were many correct guesses and many near-misses.

Additional photos from my outing to the zoo have been published in here.

LOL, trust my luck for that to be the one pronghorn in America without eyelashes!! :insane: And it never occurred to me that B was something as small as a thumb.

Great quiz, well done! :D

B ended up being way harder than I intended. At first I had included the thumb nail, but then it was just seemed too obvious. But you are right; there was nothing else in the photo to give an idea of the scale.

I am tempted to think if I had shown the same portion of a human thumb, everyone would have gotten that.

As to the lack of eye lashes on the pronghorn, I have to think that was some quirk of the camera angle and/or the lighting. I was impressed that pronghorns were even considered; I don't think I would have ever gotten this one.

Hahaha, great! I got one right.
Nice job, Deb.

@Danny: I particularly enjoyed your "seventies handbag" guess.

I'm delighted I got one right but I'm embarrassed it wasn't the kangaroo. We don't even get moose in Oz. Great blog!
