Eu gosto tanto de você I like you so much Que até prefiro esconder That I prefer to hide it Deixo assim ficar I let it be Subentendido implied
Como uma idéia que existe na cabeça Like an idea that exists in the mind E não tem a menor obrigação de acontecer And doesn’t have the least obligation to happen
Eu acho tão bonito I find so beautiful Isso de ser abstrato, baby This thing of being abstract, baby A beleza é mesmo tão fugaz Beauty is really so fleeting
É uma idéia que existe na cabeça It’s an idea that exists in the mind E não tem a menor pretensão de acontecer And doesn’t have the least obligation to happen
Pode até parecer fraqueza It must seem weakness Pois que seja fraqueza então, So, let it be weakness then, A alegria que me dá The happiness it gives me Isso vai sem eu dizer Goes without saying
Se amanhã não for nada disso if tomorrow it is all not true.. Caberá só a mim esquecer it will be up to me to forget everything O que eu ganho, o que eu perco What I gain, what I lose Ninguém precisa saber Nobody needs to know
Maria is such a good friend. She knows how to make some amazing pancakes and she invited us to eat them.. and everybody had to help her out.. hehe it was really funny. For those who are interested in the recipe, here it goes:
Pasta 3 eggs 4 1/2 glasses of water 3 glasses of flour salt
For the filling you can use whatever you want.. we used cheese, mashed potatoes and mashed bananas.
Since the year has begun, I've been thinking a little bit about my life as everybody. And the first things we are the bad things we're used to do, because they lead us to feel bad. I noticed many vices have become part of my life during the last years and they are defenitively bad for me, actually they couldn't be other than bad since according to the dictionary
Vice is a practice or habit considered immoral, depraved, and/or degrading in the associated society. In more minor usage, vice can refer to a fault, a defect, an infirmity or merely a bad habit.
And I want to get rid of some of them.
** The first one is eating! hehe I know, eating is really good and I also know I'll stop eating too much now my vacations are over. I also began to go to the gym today. The last time I tried I spent only two weeks there, but now I'll be strong. I promise that. ** The second one is smoking. I don't smoke too much, only three or four cigarettes a day, that when I don't drink, because when I drink this number can increase significantly. ** And the third one couldn't be less than drinking. But thank God this one I can control! hehe I was really worried because when my friend from Italy came to visit me he spent 12 days here in Brazil and we were drinking beer every single day and he left and I still continued drinking it for other 17 days. But I have an excuse It's summer here and it's damn hot nothing better than a cold beer. Hmmm what else..
I had noticed four vices but I really can't remember the fourth now. Hehe I'm sure it's not sex! hehehe ohh and I'm single now.. but this is another history.
Many people here speak English as a second language and know learning a language is not an easy and fast process. English has a simple grammar compared to other languages such as German which has many declination cases or the neo-latin languages (Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, Romanian) which have many conjugations. But it also depends on your mother tongue, for Japanese, Chinese or those languages natives who have learned a different alphabet and a very specific grammar in their first language have more difficulties to learn English than Swedish natives whose language has many points in common with English. Nevertheless, the tactics and activities used by learners are the same, as using songs to improve the listening and memorizing the vocabulary, or repeating grammar exercises and so on. Therefore, I would like you to tell me how were your biggest difficulties in learning English and what those problems have to do with your mother tongue.
P.S.: If you could also answer my new poll, I'd be very happy.
