i have a personal domain/website (hurray)

, ,

For those of you who follow my blog, you can guess what the title means to me.
But for those of you who don't like wasting time in my boring blog but still are curious, here is a little backdrop:
Ever since I started blogging/ entered the web sphere I have been craving for my own personal space on the internet: my own domain + hosting where I can experiment new stuff.
As a part of my academic program I was asked to buy a Yahoo web hosting to do some packet sniffing stuff. I will get to how horrible Yahoo's web hosting is in a bit or wait I will rant about it another post * my mind whispering to me "it's not gonna happen" *.
As of now I haven't set anything up on the website but plan to do something real soon when I get some time.
CLICKME cheers

I like personal domains. up

Yeah, you can do better than Yahoo, but if Yahoo is part of the assignment, that's where you go.

At least here the national domain name is more costly. ALthough, I have not checked the market prizes for long time.

I bought my name as a .mx domain last year due to always considering myself to be a closet Mexican. It was just after .mx was opened up worldwide. Introductory pricing was a good deal up to 5 years, after that, I'll have to reconsider.

I like domains just for the cool e-mail addresses.
