Talk about timing, it was just a week ago when I started Unite I told myself that there aren't too many Unite apps. I was seriously thinking of making a new app for Unite and few days ago Opera announce that they are about to remove unite from Opera 12 onwards 
Even though I haven't been among those who use it extensively I do try to make use of when ever possible. I still really like Opera Unite and think it will be kind of missed.
Widget on the other hand which is also to be discontinued, is a good move as it is redundant with extensions in place.
