Watched this movie in Escape today. The movie started well but after a while I got bored and could predict it ! Expected a lot out of the movie and I must say it didn't live up to my expectations.
The visual effects were good and I liked Bradley Cooper's acting apart from which nothing really appealed to me in this movie.
5/10 from me !

I watched Megamind today and I liked it. I always kinda like animation movies, hardly seen an animation that has disappointed me. Fortunately I am not going to ruin the movie for you by telling the whole story.
The main character of this movie is a super villain(Megamind) who succeeds in defeating the super hero(Megaman). The story revolves around what happens if there is no super hero to confront the villain. The villain falls in love with a girl and ends up creating a hero with super powers in an attempt to bring back the rivalry between him(Megamind and Megaman). In the turn of events the newly created hero(Titan) becomes the villain. Its up to Megamind to save the day.
Overall the movie was quiet entertaining.
My rating: 4/5

Today I went and watched Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part-1 at Sathyam Cinemas. I really couldn't recall what I read in the book so I went in like a guy who just followed the movies(1,2,3,4,5,6) and didn't read the book. I am not going to go to elaborate on what was good (which I could hardly find in the movie) and what was bad not up to my expectation(everything). Most of running time goes into sadness and dead silence. The locations shot were amazing. There weren't many eye catching moments in the movie. The screen play was really slow making things worse for the already long 2.45 hours movie. The story as many of you who followed the movies/read the books is Harry goes on the quest to find the horcruxes and destroy them which would make Voldemort weak and which would enable harry to kill him. Long movie short:Hurray to Harry potter as he actually manages to destroy one of horcruxes at the end of the movie and another Hurray to Voldemort as he gets his hand on the elder wand. Besides these 2 events there isn't much in this movie. Harry and his friends set out to find a locket which supposedly is one of the horcruxes for one part of the movie and for the rest they go looking for means to destroy and thats when the Genius girl Hermione draws logical conclusion from the previous incident where Harry destroys the Diary which is also one of the horcruxes using the Sword of Gryffindor and so they go in search of it and Harry finds it and Ron who actually abandons harry and hermione returns and destroys the horcrux with the sword. Later Harry learns the story about the deathly hallows which is narrated to him by Xenophilius Lovegood. Soon they are captured by minions of Bellatrix and Dobby rescues them from the clutches of Bellatrix. On the other hand Voldemort gets his hand on the elder wand. THE END. Not many talking points in the movie except for the part where Dobby actually rescues them from Bellatrix. Apart from that the movie drudged into nothing. Adding fuel to fire the seats where horrible in Sathyam Cinema's my back and my neck started aching half way into the movie. The people sitting behind me were constantly mocking every scene which was actually more entertaining than the movie itself I can't believe that the previous part(The half blood prince) got just 7.8 in imdb and this one got 8.3 . I liked 6 and thought it was far far better than this one. I wouldn't give this movie more than 5/10. Hope Part-2 compensates for this.

I watched this movie early morning today. Tears ran through my eyes towards the end of the movie. Yesterday watched "Remember Me" and today this. Totally moved me. In both the movies the background score complemented the situations very well. I know I am toooooo late in watching this movie but am glad I did.5/5 for this movie as well.At the beginning when I saw the star cast whom I was not familiar with I was a bit skeptical but then must say top notch performance from both Shane West and Mandy Moore .A walk to remember and Remember me are movies to be remembered . Since most of you would have watched movie long back I don't need to outline the story I guess

Finally watched "Remember Me" and I would sum up the review in 3 words "BRILLIANT","MUST WATCH".When I first saw the genre as Romance in IMDB, I expected it to be more about 2 lovers... but it wasn't anything like that.It had a mix of almost everything.Robert Pattinson(tyler in the movie) did an outstanding job, like all the reviewers said on IMDB didn't really he could pull out such a performance having gotten to witness him play the vampire role in Twilight.Emilie de Ravin also did justice to her role. I liked the small girl(Ruby Jerins) who is the sister of Tyler,she is just so cute in the movie.This will certain remain one among the movies to reMEmber

Finally I saw the movie I was eager to watch ever since it was released !A certain "MUST WATCH" movie.The plot construction and unravelling was too good.After this movie I have become a fan of Ritchie Guy.Hats off to Robert Downey Jr., the reason why I was so anxious and eager to see this movie. And he doesn't disappoint.I thought his performance was really nice. Stood up to the Sherlock Holmes character pretty well.I did like the acting of Jude Law as well, who did pretty well in the supporting role as Dr. watsonRachel McAdams looked really nice in the movie .I am not going to be going into the story as its upto you to watch it,especially for a movie like this.If the story is told there will be nothing left.I wouldn't say its that much of a thriller, but its certainly worth every penny !! The background music was supplemented well. The movie runs for about 2 hours and so, but believe me never for a moment I felt it that way. I was entertained every minute of the movie. And towards the end Ritchie Guy leaves an opening for Sherlock Holmes 2 *in the making * . Yes we can expect a part 2, as Holmes reopens the case.
which is not hard to guess, that there sequel awaiting for this title.After watching this movie, I have gotten the urge read the novel's

Two days ago i installed Linux mint on my CPU. Things were going smoothly with ubuntu jaunty jackalope when suddenly i got taken away by slackware, so i did some research on it, as i heard slackware was difficult to install. And in my analysis the installation part is tough only if you dont have a linux partition already partitioned or in the alter case you aare not quiet familiar with using the partition application accompanied with the slackware cd besides which everything is self explanatory just that it isn't that graphical and gives you the awe feeling that you need to be a big time programmer to set out on such installations!! So as it was everything smoothly, the installation was successful and on my restarting the LILO bootloader failed to show and at that point i was totally clueless as to what i had to do, i didnt even have my super grub usb to try and boot my system !!! i was left with the only option of deleting the slackware from my HDD ...and so i did it. Now ever since my linux days have started i don't know why but when ever i am operating in xp without a dual boot option of a linux OS, it gives me the feeeling that my comp. is incomplete and i don't feel like really working on xp for days together, it totally beats me as to why this phenomena arises within me. So couple of days of actually hunting for a different distro Mint appeared. On seeing the screen shots i was fairly impressed so i thought of giving it a try. I download the distro, burn it into a cd and test the live run .. now i was just more than fairly impressed to install it onto my system and i did. 3 days into mint and i really can't complaint much.Mint saves a lot of my tweaking time as it comes with all the codecs and plugins required to play the general formats of audio and video files such as .AVI,.MP3 ,..etc.
->The interface is pretty neat.
->Its a gnome environment so its fast too.
->Installing pysdm will allow you permanently mount all your partitions(instructions of installation of pysdm-->here.Pre installed applications are:
->Firefox,Xchat for irc,Giver,Mozilla Thunderbird and pidgin
->Gimp,Image viewer,open office draw,scanner utility
->cd/dvd creator,calculator,character map,disk usage analyzer,Gnome do,screenshot,terminal..etc
->open office apps and dictionarysound and
->sound recorder,mplayer,gnome player,pulse audio selector,rhythm box,brasero disc burnerthe package manager has pretty much everything one needs for their day to day activities .The only thing i haven't discovered yet is to get FLV files playing. When i do that i shall post the method !!until then stay cool with a MINT

Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes !!
A word that will probably inspire you after watching this movie !
Yes I watched this movie !
Yes its a perfect 10 !
Jim Carrey has always been one of my favorites and his name has now reached top the list !
I may be a bit prejudice about giving 10/10 rating but thats because, every single minute I was entertained by this movie ! There were doses of humor/sarcasm all the way, through out the movie along with a very nice message !
Story in short:
Jim Carrey has gotten the habit of saying "NO" to every thing in life ! Out of his friend's compulsion he joins "YES" program where in he is forced to say YES to every damn thing ! And so he does !
And he finds out a world of change... !!
I am sorry I am afraid thats all I am going to say about the story and movie.
This movie was released in late 2008 and i am watching in late 2009. I don't know why this movie didn't hit the theaters here
