In the last few decades nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) have prolifirated and the growth in numbers, the increase in political and economic power, the diversity of forms and the global spread are phenomenal. Three competing theoritical frames emerged in the attempt by social scientists to provide definitive framework to explicate the phenomena.
3 kinds of thorists have emerged in the attempts to provide a scientific framework for the nongovernmental organisation (NGO) phenomenon. The traditionist/purists, the exclusionist and the inclusionists.
