Types of Cado

, , ,

Ahh the Avocado, also know as the “Zaboca” in Trinidad & Tobago.

There are many different types of ‘Cado’ though. Some are creamy, some watery, some with strings attached :left: etc.

The worst thing is waiting for a Cado to ripe only to find a Pseudo-Cado… son of *****! All that time waiting only to find a stringy, watery, off colour thing not worth placing in your coconut bake. Oh the horror.

Sadly not all Cados grow up to be Radocados (named after the great Randall). The perfect Cado is hard to find. I come across missing socks quicker. Even when found a potentially great tasting Cado may be hard to peel! :bomb:

Enter… the Disobedient Cado or ‘Diso-Cado’. This may sound like a small thing… but Cados can be so hard to peel that when you finally get the skin off you have Guacamole :irked:

Scientist have long hoped to breed the Radocado but until now, the only way to come across one is by chance.

TRIVIA: Why does the green edge of an avocado taste the same as the yellow interior?
