der Wandersmann's occasional thoughts and pics

Same snow, different light ...

These are just a few that I took a couple of days ago ... the weather was cold enough to preserve that wind-applied striping, but that sun made all the difference in the mood. You may recognise the place; these were all shot from the road down to the water.

It's interesting to watch how the sky gets progressively covered by upper-level clouds.

And, the Lake, at last! (I bet you thought I'd never get there, didn't you?)

And back, to pick up a couple more:

And here's a curious sort of thing ... I kept noticing this black SUV about ¼ mile behind me. Every time I'd stop, get out and take a shot, I'd notice this chap had stopped, too, his door was open, and he was out ... every time:

There ... you can see him. I wondered if I was being trailed by the CIA ... Then I realised: When I stopped for a photo, he stopped and shot a photo, too!
It's nice to inspire such confidence! LOLOLOL
Cheers, all!

Just thought I'd mention that I've now put these photos and the ones from the previous entry into an album, so you can see them bigger and more clearly. A little more commentary, too, just in case you were dying for more of my deathless prose.

We finally had a little snow.Another good photographer found ...

I'm not sure I could have resisted the urge to walk back and talk to him! Wonderful shots - they really "feel" like a snowy spring day!

Do you mean the man in the SUV, Antonietta? I must confess that it brought a smile to my face, too.

Lois: now that you mention it, I do wish I'd thought of it, too! I wonder what he would have done? Taken to his heels? LOLOLOL

Thanks, all.

If you see him again, you could let him know that there are a lot of us who are curious! Or just aim a very long lens at him. I bet he would run!! lol lol

LOL, glad he was only trailing you for that reason! I was watching deer in Scotland many years ago when a local concluded that I was a poacher confused and reported the car registration number to police. My father (who was driving) had to go to a London station and explain bigeyes
