http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=166238

Michael83815 1. December 2006, 16:49

The build number and opening line are in bad taste...

Immanis 1. December 2006, 16:54

Fraud protection seems screwd here. Using both a clean install and a upgrade, it fails to report

http://200.119.135.99/ebay/login5878/

as fraudulent site, even when blacklisted. It may be a cache-related or a site preference issue, since i went to the site in the clean instalation prior to enable the fraud protection (I still don't like the idea of protection off by default)

[edit]
New clean installation, activated fraud protection, then pasted URL, same result as before.

chrislu 1. December 2006, 17:02

i am just stating this again, so it won't get forgotten:

issues stay:

1. i have an urgent issue which is present since several versions.

i have an imapt account at my university. now i have to accept the certificate everytime i check for mails, the install button is always grayed out. i tried reinstalling opera from scratch and to install the certificates directly. they appear under the security settings and i uncheckt to warn me everytime i use the certificate.

why is that?

the warning reads:
"- The certificate for "mailgate.uni-weimar.de" is signed by the unknown Certificate Authority "BU Weimar CA". It is not possible to verify that this is a valid certificate"

problem is the certificate is allready installed. i installed them directly from the following links (at the bottom). up until i think 9.01 i could use these certificates without problems.

http://www.uni-weimar.de/cms/Electronic_Mail.1734.0.html

2. another thing like the image problem:

navigate to a new page. while it loads press the back button. then navigate forward with the forward button again to the half loaded page. the loading will not continue and the page stays half loaded.

Nuri 1. December 2006, 17:31

When will it be able to use links panel in m2 items, like in 8.5?

eestlane 1. December 2006, 17:36

Don't get too drunk again.

andresruiz 1. December 2006, 17:48

Hi
I Found a link on www.opera.com to download Opera 9,02 for Windows, I downloaded it and it was 4,7 MB...much smaller that todays build 8666 (6,3 MB). But I installed the 4,7 MB...
IT DOESN'T START !!!! Is that file corrupt? It says to be the 9,02. But 8666 says to be 9,01.

Maybe the public is getting a corrupt Opera 9,02 instalation file that doesn't even start? ...would be very bad.

Anyone knows ?

Is 9,02 really released?

:frown: :frown: :frown: :frown:

http://kenny.nepsa.com/private/opera-screenshots/grab_01-12-2006_094657.png

... considering that running this new build on top of an existing .opera directory (I've given up on using -personaldirs unless explicitly informed in the release notes, as it otherwise makes NO difference) brings this up within 5 mins, is there a chance that this is the effect of corruption in the caching of the .CSS/JS(?) files?

kennycrudup 1. December 2006, 17:58

I've been getting this lately when making replies:

The document has moved here.
mod-xslt/1.3.8 Apache Server at my.opera.com Port 80

cafesote 1. December 2006, 18:12

Great stability fixes!
Good job, like the new wand format last build: perfection.

Hansapelle 1. December 2006, 18:13

Like this new build as it seems even more stable.
Tack så mycket

yksyks 1. December 2006, 18:16

Still not fixed the TV.com bug (240542).

andresruiz 1. December 2006, 18:19

Hi

the same problem with:

http://www.comcel.com.co/servicio_cliente3gsm/centros_atencion.php

The dropdown items with [+] some of them doesn't open easy, some do, and if you can open the one of "BOGOTÁ" is hard to close.

Tks

Still not fixed, Java Script reloading bug:

Doliprane 1. December 2006, 18:33

not much done in this weeklie

kennycrudup 1. December 2006, 18:33

Ignore my comment about "Moved"; I'd somehow turned off "Enable Automatic Redirection" in my per-site preferences for my.opera.com (while trying to see if changing the "Identify As ..." would make a difference- I'm way past the "pulling at straws" phase on this bug).

majalid 1. December 2006, 18:35

Anyone having problem with Windows Media Player 11 in Opera? Menu is doubled. http://img361.imageshack.us/img361/1303/operavb1.jpg

FataL 1. December 2006, 18:38

Will ever in 9.x series these regressions get fixed?

stranded 1. December 2006, 18:55

thanks a lot :D

LiquidNitrogen 1. December 2006, 18:56

why do we still keep fixing not so important bugs rather then killing the rendering or critical ones. I see opera not working with most of the day to day sites. Web page rendering works fine on IE/Firefox. I know you'll say that most of the webpages do not render fine because the page author didn't made it correct. If that is the case why don't opera browser show something in the status bar etc about it, say something about the page is not upto standard etc??? that way we'll differentiate

I can not browse MOST of the websites using opera. It sure is fast and light weight but if i can't see the websites what is the use of it?

andresruiz 1. December 2006, 19:18

@ majalid

yes, the same problem, I don't know if it's a Opera problem or a Windows Media Player Plugin problem

Wheelie4 1. December 2006, 19:20

Since the first version of 9.x and every build after, when a page finishes loading my "working in background" mouse pointer stays on unless I move my pointer over a link, then If I move my pointer off the link the "working in background" mouse pointer returns. Happens on about 95% of the webpages I visit. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a reported bug?

Wheelie4 1. December 2006, 19:24

@ majalid

yes, the same experience her aswell.

PeterX 1. December 2006, 19:35

@ Andres Ruiz
quote: "PD: @omeow. How do you put that image on the blog? I only know how to post the link, but I don't know how to post the image directly on the blog."

- hi, man! What's the news? What says the old master "omeow"?
- I can't not input image on the blog too. And quotatiion too. Whereway am I? Please help me!

andresruiz 1. December 2006, 19:56

@ PeterX

@omeow didn't answer. Sorry.

I would like to know how.

@omeown

Tks, but maybe is not a easy way to learn it, is a Wikipedia page about Bulletin Board Code. I think is not for everyone. Example of the link content:
"An example PHP function to convert BBCode to HTML

<?php
function bbcode2html($strInput) {
return preg_replace(
array(
'/\\[url[\\:\\=]((\\"([\\W]*javascript\:[^\\"]*)?([^\\"]*)\\")|'.
'(([\\W]*javascript\:[^\\]]*)?([^\\]]*)))\\]/ie', '/\\[\\/url\\]/i',
'/\\[b\\]/i', '/\\[\/b\\]/i',
'/\\[i\\]/i', '/\\[\/i\\]/i',
'/\\[quote\\]/i', '/\\[\/quote\\]/i'
),
array(
'\'\'', '',
'', '',
'', '',
'
', '
'
),
$strInput
);
}"

So I can't find how to put preview images on the blog as some of you do using that link on Wikipedia.

But Tks anyway, I'll keep posting as always.

Bye

non-troppo 1. December 2006, 20:41

Can I just remind everyone, that close to a release, adding lots of bug fixes is a really bad idea, which is why changelogs keep getting shorter. Yours and my pet bugs are unlikely to be fixed in 9.1 by now. They may be fixed internally, but we'll have to wait for the next branch to see them...

@liquidnitrogen: are you sure we use the same internet? most websites!? I'd ask you for URLs, but considering the number of sites on the internet the list may be long :devil: ...

andresruiz 1. December 2006, 20:41

Please moderator allow my comment to ve viewed to everyone. Is just about formating comments on blogs.

Tks

Andres Ruiz

andresruiz 1. December 2006, 20:45

@non-troppo

You're right.

I agree with you.
