Or you'll have to wait until they include it.. or API *nudge, nudge* *wink, wink*

Not to be too bothersome, but does a while mean 2 weeks? months? Just trying to figure out when I can breathe again.

Thanks for the update. I appreciate it.

undo-window-close feature

Opera have this feature - Ctrl Alt Z - or you mean somthing else?

By Creat0R, # 20. April 2007, 15:23:31

avatar
Great... can you give us an advance about the new features...?

By lucasdt, # 20. April 2007, 15:23:48

Uh, why? :-| We are absolutly ready for non-stable, crashing, dangerous, PC-burning version :-)

By Zajec, # 20. April 2007, 15:24:57

Any idea when approximately we can expect a weekly? I mean it is question of few weeks or rather months?!?

By Alnag, # 20. April 2007, 15:25:19

avatar
9.50?
We are ready and waiting...

By dserl, # 20. April 2007, 15:26:28

Ready and waiting. I can live with a non-stable, crashing, dangerous, PC-burning version :-)

By EricJH, # 20. April 2007, 15:28:11

avatar
how long do you guys think it will be released?
Let's make a poll. I say 2 months until a new weekly is released.

PS: WIR is not an option.

New features? Any details? :-)

Also, when I read feeds, is there any way to check all existing blogs for news? Something like new emails in outlook send/receive.

Or I have to wait n minutes till it be checked automatically?

.....Wow.....
I'm happy to wait for "some cool new features", but I really hope to wait a little.....My dream: a midle-weekly build...

By SoulOfDoinel, # 20. April 2007, 16:16:56

avatar
I too, will wait for Kestrel. But only 'cause you said it'd be Kestrel!

Could you tell me if Bug #255378 has been fixed in the latest build? I've heard of many other rendering fixes already...

Kestrel meet ThunderBird

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunderbird_(mythology)
Depending on the people telling the story, the Thunderbird is either a singular entity or a species. In both cases, it is intelligent, powerful, and wrathful. All agree that one should go out of one's way to keep from getting thunderbirds angry.

Nothing in http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/show.dml/759403 about M2 improvements.

Maybe M2 users will have to wait until Peregrine to avoid being swept up into the wings of ThunderBird

Any news on bug 259824 ?

By paulg_ca, # 20. April 2007, 16:38:06

@olli

Woohoo! Thanks! That one's a pretty big issue on my site, so I'll be glad to see it working.

bug fixing is much appreciated. keep up the good work!

Kestrel...here we come! I can't wait. Hope to see something on here asap, since I too am in the habit of holding my breathe between builds.

... :frown:

I actually came from that wings... The DB is so buggy that really makes you hate it!!

M2 has a great performance, but it has stayed really behind on features :S

Anyway, great work with the browser guys !

- That's the only one function, that I'm missing in opera. It shouldn't be so hard to code and I think many people would appreciate it.

Kestrel will be mostly bug fixes... so in theory Kestrel will have the most stability and rendering accuracy yet!

ACK! see this forum thread: better Confirm Exit / avoid window closing frustration

I hope this is a real upgrade and not just a few more "cool" features like Speed dial, just to make it feel good and look fancy.

I wish the DevTeam sits down and *solves* browser problems, and *complete* already existing features like plugin detection, automatic plugin loadin/unloading, individual plugin control etc.

By ThunderFire, # 20. April 2007, 20:28:18

I hope native spell checking is being worked on.

Ok, I think we all understand you're working very hard for next builds, thanks a lot. I'll be waiting for new weekly and new bugs.

I really hope for some big improvements to M2 and a lot of the old bugs finally stamped out!

M2 definitely needs many improvements. I used to use it regularly, but I've deleted it since it causes cpu usage to go up so much in some cases. Anyone else ever notice Opera freezing when you open it while it is checking mail in the background? It freezes for me then once it retrieves the mail it runs fine again.

By kyleabaker, # 21. April 2007, 00:47:25

thanks
good news

@kyleabaker

I see that freezing all the time, not when it checks mail, but when it checks my feeds... :frown:

No rush guys. I now have Opera Mini to play with. With Rogers I only have 5 Mb per month to play with but it is enough.

Guys, I'm going to be moving to Vista soon. How close is Opera to working as well there as it does in XP? Please don't tell me that I'll have to wait for Kestrel.

Opera truly innovates!

Like everyone else here I can't wait for the next release!

Doesn't works with FireFox as well, only with IE.
