Happy birthday Jon
By olli. Wednesday, 29. August 2007, 09:55:40
Our fearless, peerless leader Jon turned 40 today, and what he wants more than anything for this birthday is for us to provide our community with an alpha version of Kestrel. And to celebrate his birthday, we are happy to announce that we are planning to release the first build next Tuesday!The first Kestrel build will include some cool new features and tons of bug fixes, but as it's an alpha it will still be buggy. We need your help improving the quality as fast as possible.
Oh and you will finally see what's hiding on the Status Bar. ;-)
Meanwhile we wish Jon the very best!

Предполагам, че правилното е Йон, но може и аз да греша.
@Jon:
Happy birthday and congratulations for all you've achieved during the past 40 years!
@The Kestrel Devs:
Thank you guys for this (I am sure) great upcoming release!

- Make it use KDE for stuff like file-saving etc
- Make it integrate with KDE's defaults like any other program, instead of INSISTING everything be opened in the gnome-counterparts
- Speedimprovements (tabs-switching etc)
Other than that, it's great!

To all at Opera, thanks for ruining my weekend, there is no way I will sleep between now and next Tuesday, knowing what's instore! :-)
Me, I don't care for what's hidden on the status bar, I am interested in the OperaMail improvements, I will be hammering it hard, and reporting any issues I come across.
Are there any improvements on the bug trackign system, last time I reported things, they seem to fall into a feedback-less black hole... :-(

Read this interview with the lead Opera Mail Client developer.

I didn't get round to posting my guess for that "censored" feature before, but based on clues from the Opera devs my guess is it's a switch for the content blocker.

Based on my opinions, those tests are inaccurate. The test is done on a MAC.
