@HeeZy
All are known issues, try "Ctrl+Click" to save images.

Unfortunately http://shiftdelete.net is displayed wrong. The main menu on the left side is on top of the middle section. Opera 9.23 displays this site well.

so, what's what with Opera 9.5 and flash 9 on Ubuntu 6.20-15
Where do I have to put the libflashplayer.so and flashplayer.xpt?

/usr/lib/opera/plugins is not working, or I have to do something else?

Claudio Santambrogiocsant Monday, September 17, 2007 4:57:32 PM

jakob, you only need libflashplayer.so - any location is good, as long as you point Opera to it. What exactly do you mean with "is not working"? smile

Jakobjakob Monday, September 17, 2007 5:12:40 PM

Hey, well whenever I visit somebody's blog at my.opera.com with Opera 9.5 I get an option to download the flashplugin again. That is what I mean by not working. But if Opera is not yet linked to the libfl...so and flashpl., which I copied to the plugin folder, then what do I need to do?

I donwloaded and untared them, then sudo cp to folder.

Is there a rights issue: chmod 777 or something else I need to do?

Claudio Santambrogiocsant Monday, September 17, 2007 7:07:37 PM

All you need to do is tools > preferences > content > plugin options and then configure the plugin path to include /usr/lib/opera/plugins , "find new plugins" and you are done smile (or should be done, at least...)

Jakobjakob Monday, September 17, 2007 7:19:36 PM

Ok, great. Will try that at work tomorrow. thx.

Jakobjakob Tuesday, September 18, 2007 9:09:06 PM

hmmm, there are no plugin options any longer. at least not in pref/advanced/content! There is style option and javascript option. Both windows and linux version

Saddle Magic Tuesday, September 18, 2007 9:21:38 PM

Try, Tools > Advanced > Plug-ins

Opera 6 may have had them under preferences.

Jakobjakob Tuesday, September 18, 2007 9:28:55 PM

I checked it out, and it's a web page. How can edit that one in Linux. I'm trying to tie Opera in with Flash 9 in Linux.

Saddle Magic Tuesday, September 18, 2007 9:34:36 PM

I don't know Linux, have you tried the forums?

Do you mean there are *none*, or they are greyed out? If there are none, you must have screwed up your installation somehow... Does it work when testing with a clean profile?

opera -pd /tmp/testing

What ever happened to plugin search buttons and non-bar plugins, closest are the alternative quicktime and real.

Jakobjakob Wednesday, September 19, 2007 10:26:22 AM

Ok, her we go.

1. did find the plugin option
2. in tools>advanced>plugin it says no plugins
3. searching for plugins in the pref>advanced>plugin options
I got this message : opera encountered a problem during plug-in setup.
plug-ins will not work properly
check your installation

could not locate plug-in 'libnpp.so'
this executable is included in the install package (whatever that means)

could not locate plug-in executalble 'operapluginwrapper'
This executable is included in the install package (???)

Search directory:

But: libnpp.so exists

jakob@VAIO-UBUNTU:~$ locate libnpp.so
/usr/lib/opera/9.50-20070903.6/libnpp.so
jakob@VAIO-UBUNTU:~$
