Find in page now continues search from the location of the last mouse click

up up

But search still broken. Try to search for "opera" on this long page.
Opera will find and highlight every "opera" on the page, but will not able to go (F3) through all search results and will start over from the top.

Kostia RomanovKildor Friday, November 2, 2007 4:04:43 PM

Removing mail from filters now works again
Confirm exit while logged in to link now works

Very big thanks $)

BTW, in earlier versions, if I press Del to delete mail, Opera asked me about «Do you really want to delete mail», but now it silent deletes mail
How can I return old behaviour?

i think the opera 9.5 has been talked about a so long time ago..

but yet until now, there is still no stable release.. sad

So why not just work hard for opera 10 itself? wouldn't that be better??

The YeOKYeOK Friday, November 2, 2007 4:21:15 PM

Great, but I can't seem to find a Linux x86_64 build, can anyone help, or is there not one ready yet ?

arghwashier Friday, November 2, 2007 4:21:33 PM

btw is it a known bug that the the .9 static build picks up changes in style from qtconfig and qt4config but forgets them when restarting?

Jeldert Friday, November 2, 2007 4:22:33 PM

No AMD64 build for Linux (x86_64-linux)?

Good work.

Angelomon Friday, November 2, 2007 4:28:45 PM

Opera 9.50 with 3 most used feature is missing

1- copy and other shell features of the windows in download is now missing
2- copy selected text on link and more options is missing
3- RSS feeds now is show only 3 last at random of only 1 feed updated
and now is more hard to know what feed is updated... (i don't know what is the point of just show notification of new messages if u don't know witch of the feeds is updated)
I have 1000 by day of feeds updated and now is show only 3 updates at random of only 1 feed

will be back in the final release ???
or it will be available an option to re-enable all this wonderful feature ???

For me all this features is standard, easy and fast way to work.
I don't understand of just wipe out this features or the opera team is unknown of this 3 missing features ?

http://www.javabeat.net/articles/2007/11/spring-ibatis-integration/

that page fonts too small. seems css layout problem, but 9.24 is work fine

FataL Friday, November 2, 2007 4:34:54 PM

From forum tread:

You can easily see slowness effect at digg.com. Just open Digg's home page, then open some comments...
Next there are two options:
* wait until page with comments completly loaded, then go back -- you should notice pause and reloading of the page with new banners (since they are loading through JavaScript)

Seems this one is fixed in build 9624 for Windows. up

* wait until page half loaded and try to go back -- you should notice that Opera is not responding to your command immediatelly

But second issue is still there down
Opera doesn't allow you go back until page is fully loaded.

FataL Friday, November 2, 2007 4:37:50 PM

and now is more hard to know what feed is updated... (i don't know what is the point of just show notification of new messages if u don't know witch of the feeds is updated)

Ohhh! That's really bad. I haven't tried to use in full RSS and M2 in 9.5 yet.

MisterE Friday, November 2, 2007 4:43:06 PM

"Find in page now continues search from the location of the last mouse click"

Thank you.
This is the biggest improvement for me in this build.

1stOTHfan Friday, November 2, 2007 4:45:08 PM

It still doesn't seem to want to take a forward (Refresh) to a url like this:

http://www.msxsecurity.com/csh/Goesssmoalltime-t44711.html&pid=357181&st=0#entry357181

Everything from the # is cut off so it just sends you to this:

http://www.msxsecurity.com/csh/Goesssmoalltime-t44711.html&pid=357181&st=0

ThArGos Friday, November 2, 2007 4:50:01 PM

Going to test it

yes it is I have 8 feeds
and opera 9.5 it show in notification only 3 messages of 1 feed of the most updated feed sad
in older version it shows which feeds is updated and not the messages of a feed
and now I don't know which feeds is updated and if I use "read feeds" is like hell all mixted...

this is really bad if u use much feeds with much mesages...

otherwise all is wonderful in opera and cheers to the opera team keep up with builds bigsmile

FataL Friday, November 2, 2007 5:24:41 PM

I have 8 feeds

I have ~80 feeds. bigeyes
So, I usually decide to read or not to read from notifications that show (in 9.24) names of all just updated feeds.

Wade Friday, November 2, 2007 5:32:48 PM

Nothing has changed here. Ctrl+F still opens the "Find" dialog.

not for me! it goes on my search box in toolbar, before(9.23) it just opened pop up box.linux build

Galileo Friday, November 2, 2007 5:38:39 PM

Thanks for the build yes ...Testing... Wade maybe you have Use Integrated Search on opera:config enabled?

allix Friday, November 2, 2007 5:42:26 PM

9.5 is coming along nicely. My only concern is the bookmarks-panel. Opening a folder is done with a single click, but hiding them again after opening a bookmark needs a click-wait-click(one to highlight and one to close. Double-clicking does not work). Would it be possible to make them close on a single-click too?

Or even better. When clicking a top-level folder, all other top-level folders are closed automatically. (Maybe as an option in opera:config) smile

Using Opera(9.50-20071102.6-shared-qt_i386) on Debian Lenny.

in version 9.24 is all ok the problem is I use only 9.5

and in 9.5 the notification it shows only 3 messages and not the feeds this is unusable for me and the notification it appears in slow slow motion so it not good for me this feature any more... and I think I just disable it

rwf Friday, November 2, 2007 5:52:13 PM

1. rm -rf /tmp/testopera

2. opera -pd /tmp/testopera &

3. Preferences -> Advanced -> Browsing -> Loading -> Redraw when loaded

4. Preferences -> Advanced -> Shortcuts -> Opera Standard for UNIX

5. F2 http://files.myopera.com/Ottifanten/files/vBulletin.png

6. Anybody see anything strange?

a) The address bar has "Document 2%"
b) The image is not displayed.
c) or if it is, it takes more than a minute.
d) Enter <Escape>
e) Image displays

7. Must be my system, huh?

Using Build 4517/Leopard:

The Gmail "quoted text" function in the rich-text editor works again! Thanks! And window-size on start-up, also! smile

(Unfortunately, we still have 1-px disease, and no Gmail chat, still.) sad

Sergei Stolyarovcancel Friday, November 2, 2007 6:02:46 PM

Cool! Thanks for the release! It looks more stable than previous. Looks like Opera works correctly with cache now.

But I've found that I can't open disk directory in the browser window, when I type something like «/home/cancel» and press Enter nothing happens. Is it bug? Can anyone confirm?

I'm using Debian Linux Lenny. qt-shared build, tar.bz, clean install.

Claudio Santambrogiocsant Friday, November 2, 2007 6:07:23 PM

cancel, the issue is known, thanks smile

MetalRaise Friday, November 2, 2007 6:37:30 PM

"Show Images" toolbar button (the one with the little arrow) only switches between "Show Images" and "Cached Images" on left click.

The other button without the arrow is cycling through all three modes like it's supposed to be.
