Towards 9.51
By Claudio Santambrogio. Friday, 20. June 2008, 09:56:56
It's time for maintenance - we have been fixing several of the most reported issues in 9.50 - including a rather nasty crash on Yahoo Mail. Have fun testing - and as always, we'd appreciate feedback.
WARNING: These are development snapshots: they contain the latest changes, but they also have severe known issues, including crashes and data loss situations. In fact, they may not work at all.

Its good to find the team trying to fix Yahoo Mail but try fixing GMail too (in spite of it not supporting standards), IMHO the Google sites not working properly are your biggest stumbling block to getting market share. Its the early adopters who influence their circle of friends and relatives and trust me on this... most of these early adopters use at least one service from Google.

Also, I do I have in Vista the new google icon in the search field, but in XP I do have the olg G icon?
Morphdreamer # 20. June 2008, 11:42
Confirmed but it also doesn't in Firefox so it's 3dtracking fault.
Yes, new favicon is displayed only on google site and on Speed Dial.

@Tamil + @ FrakkiaLP ,
as posted during RC test and 9.50 release, the panel buttons when panel toolbar is set top/bottom were not dynamicly spaced, thus all buttons were shown left on toolbar, which didn't look good. Now that's fixed, they get spaced automaticly when adding buttons. That's the change I have noted...

- SpeedDial still get frozen on Vista without SP1 (for about 20 seconds when used first time after Opera start)
FataL # 20. June 2008, 14:38
Any chance I can bring them back?
ferrisnox # 20. June 2008, 14:40
I did notice on the 9.5(final not rc) Release sometimes upon re-opening opera my speed dial images would get "confused" and be in the wrong places. A simple refresh fixed it. I haven't noticed it yet on the 9.5.1
Thanks!

The same occurs with webshots.com. Seems to be Javascript related, as when it is disabled Forwards/Backwards works properly.
Otherwise, I like it!

With facebook and Gmail you see what problems a browser gets, if it is applying the standards too fast. But Opera was not Opera if they didn´t so it
Still no fix for the recycle bin
Why http://portal.opera.com/startup/ opens on upgrades?

I agree with pincopallino, please fix the signature problem!
I'm using Opera as a _serious_ mail client and need the multi account functionality! (It worked fine in all previous versions!)

Could this be a cache problem? And if anyone has the same problem, let me know if this version fixes it. Will try myself when I have time.
Anyway, good work for releasing new build

- Great work so long ! But I can't help always having the same question : When can we suspect to see a Silverlight plugin for Opera ? Okay, you don't seem to be in very good terms with Microsoft but come on guys Silverlight IS something ! I hope you're gonna fix this.
Thanks

weird A limit to number of transfers - which removes any incomplete transfers you have (when restrarting Opera)
Do this -
geta number of transfers(15+)
2. make sure ome aer imcomplete
3.restart opera
incomplete transfers disappear
