nope, in the waiting-time it's about 1,3% and while loading the webpage it's up to 23% cpu-usage.

busy server? Try google.com.

It's a bug, not a server-issue. I tried a lot of websites, including google.com.

Why third item does not contain a bug report?
When recieve big letter (more than 2048 lines), I can't select by mouse line's over 2048 line.
The fourth item, I think memory leak is when after each hour memory allocation are more and more.

Also, you can't submit things to deviantart.com. It's completely broken and unusable even under different UA-strings.

When I click on a link and select this it sometimes doesn’t open ANYTHING... Just do nothing. When I select it for the second time it works.
Come on Opera. You must start to bring your A-Game. Google Chrome is looking great and with more options (like disable pictures) I'm seriously thinking of switching over and suggesting it to others.
This bug reported here is still present in the latest build:
http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=245078&t=1217951839&page=1#comment2688169
Not even one reply. Thanks! (i even included the page ffs)
Another bug since 5.5:
- When I hover over the File|Edit|... buttons the hover state works great but when the hover goes away the button have a slightly darker color than it had prior to the mouse hover. But I guess this is such an obvious bug that you guys know about it already.
I hope Opera 10 loose the titlebar like Chrome have... Really free up space on the screen. And please.... include a spell checker. And no your current spell checker option isn’t enough. It must highlight as I type the words and it must be bundled with the installer.
One last thing
Is it possible to get Opera fullscreen but with the Tabs and navigation bars visible?
Thanks for this great browser. Will continue to spread the word

Google Chrome vulnerabilities starting to pile up
but safari is still basic and still has more share than opera... it ought to show that 'ability' does not count as much as style, or 'product placement' ....

Am gonna test Flash 10 now

That may be so, but without a bug report, there is very little chance of any fix. Look at your own url, there is no bug report there.
Opera has been running here for over a week without restart and is currently at 280M, with 30 tabs open. Assuming we are running the same code, there is no memory leak. Opera's memory usage will naturally grow to a percentage of the available system memory - that is normal behaviour - but should not grow beyond that unless a rogue plugin is eating memory. I tend to run plugins disabled by default, and enable them for the odd sites I need them. In Windows, plugin-related memory leaks will appear as opera.exe eating memory, and in linux it can be seen as "operapluginwrapper" eating memory. Either way, that is not Opera's fault but the offending plugin's.
I just ran FF 3.01 which already uses more than 280M for my 30 tabs without any time passing, link navigation or other general use, so I can't confirm any kind of memory leak issue here.
If you have a lot of system RAM, expect Opera to use more of it. To keep things fast, Opera will continue to eat RAM for the purpose of memory-caching of pages (for instant back/forward), up to a ceiling determined by the available system RAM. You can adjust this behaviour by changing Prefs..Advanced..History..Memory cache from automatic to a lower value.

I use the "Open in background" function all the time and it always works (you can also ctrl+shift+leftclick). The only time you might see a problem is if the link is a JS that is already trying to open another window or do some other 'clever' window management. Opera can't do much about that. Can you provide a repeatable example that consistently shows the problem?
I replied to your problem although I cannot reproduce it, sorry.
Your file..edit problem, do you see that with any other skins or just the default. And is this in Windows? I don't see it on Windows with a custom skin, or in Linux.
You can create shortcuts that will remove all extraneous screen elements (by toggling toolbars) and the menus from Opera. Can't remember how though, but I suggest looking at non-troppo's wiki, particularly the CustomButtons section.

It is not 100%, but I lost a number of emails when I checked/deleted/emptied trash on a system set up to leave messages on server.
A later test failed to reproduce (messages were left).

As for the File|Edit|View|Bookmarks|... bug.
Here is a little picture I made to demonstrate the difference.
I'm using a default install of Opera on WinXp Sp3 with the latest nVidia drivers for GF 8600GT on AMD x2 6000+. I've seen this on more than one pc. (all windows xp)

I'm aware that Opera's UI is very customizable and I use it to my advantage
Its just that the titlebar waste lots of screen space.
Here is a quick mock on what opera without the window titlebar could look like:
http://stashbox.org/208510/opera10.png
Maybe Opera 10 should go for a more Office07 look and loose the Menubar and just have the tabs & navigation + search. Atm opera looks just like any other windows program. Something special will make people jump onboard the Opera train.
Ok a little of topic now but I gave Opera for my mother and watched as see used it. When she typed the url of her site she was looking for a button to press to GO to the url. I told her that she had to press enter. All other browsers have this so please.. its small but Opera really needs a new UI that have a modern layout and that it more friendly on the eye

@DoubleT: No, there isn't.
@DjiXas: Bug number?
@nightfishing: Did you read the changelog for Opera 9.50 (http://www.opera.com/docs/changelogs/mac/950/)? 'When using "Leave messages on server", POP3 messages are permanently removed from the server when the Trash view is emptied (disable by setting "Permanent delete=0" for the relevant account in accounts.ini).'
@g4qb: Have you filed a bug?

The login link still brings up an incorrect login box on www.studentfinancedirect.co.uk.
Freebase.com is extremely slow on Opera when compared to other browsers, all the pages load very slowly, and when one selects something on a drop down menu you have to select it twice.

As I said before, such fatal changes should be more visible. This option really should be included in mail accaunt GUI options, and should be disabled by default (at least for couple major releases, so people will accustom to this).I have several people (not computer guys at all) that use Opera Mail, and some of them got in trouble with this update. And I can't help them by phone or e-mail because option not included in GUI.
At least somewhere in GUI (maybe near "Leave messages on server") should be written a warning message about permanent delition from a server.

For instance, if I create a page and upload several images to that page in the control panel it will allow me to use the Flash uploader. Then say I go create another page and try to upload photos to the new page...the Flash uploader will not load and the browser uploader (single uploades at a time) is the only option.
This works fine in Firefox. I will file a report, but I'm going to see if I can first pin-point the problem.
Can anyone else confirm this?

Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that it was a "feature" and would have been in the change log.
If such a dangerous and counter intuitive "feature" is going to be included, I would think the default would be "off" and an opera6.ini "hack" to turn it on would be more appropriate.
Regardless, it's fixed, now, without too much damage. Thanks for the help.
misoman # 8. September 2008, 23:38
Now, if Opera crashes, or is closed via the task manager (as I've had to do a number of times due to the "freezing on opening new tab" bug mentioned by others here), the next launch only remembers tabs which were open during the last proper close of Opera.
So, if I open 3 tabs, close Opera properly, launch again, close all those tabs, open 10 new tabs, and kill Opera via the task manager when it eventually freezes on me, the next launch will open the 3 tabs from the earlier browser session, not the 10 new tabs from the last one.
I haven't filed a bug report on it since I'm not sure whether it's a bug or a deliberate design change by the Opera team. If it's a design change, please bring the old behavior back.
crabbit # 9. September 2008, 00:34
will i file a bug report for that?
