x666 19. September 2008, 12:26

Thanks!

ar1pe 19. September 2008, 12:26

Bug in browser.js not opera

adas 19. September 2008, 13:01

miki69 19. September 2008, 13:07

@AyushJ: if this webpage is working ok in FF3 and IE but not in Opera, than I would say for some reason Opera is not compatible with this site, and that Opera developers should broad Opera's compatibility. That's the way I see it.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer Opera over FF, just these kind of things are really annoying. Anyhow, as I said Sonystyle.com works as a charm now .

ps. Why I can't put/insert smilies in edited posts???

BR

arghwashier 19. September 2008, 13:09

but finally the qt4 scrolling artifacts seem to have been fixed , just today... when I wiped kde4.1.1 and went back to the functional 3.5.10 :frown:

edit: I spoke to soon, still present on some pages like this one:
http://www.spitsnieuws.nl/

Time for my fist bug of the build bug

On The Register website, I'm having trouble adding comments.

If I try to use the add comment box which appears below the comments of a particular article, I get yellow lines around the email, password, and title fields and I cannot type in them.

An example page:

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/09/14/reg_redesign/comments/

On this page, Opera hangs on 81/81 elements, although the stop button changes to a refresh button, suggesting that it has loaded?

If I try to use the add comment box by clicking "post comment" directly from an article, it all works!

An example page:

http://comments.theregister.co.uk/2008/09/14/reg_redesign/

Both of the forms that I have linked to are for the SAME article.

Anybody have any idea what's up? And can anyone confirm what's happening to me?

I'm using Windows XP SP3 and the latest build..

grotos 19. September 2008, 13:47

My Twitter problem still exists. Look again at this site http://tweet.seaofclouds.com/
I've looked for similiar scripts, but each of them behaves in the same way (on first load it's ok, but after refresh content disapears). Even an official: http://twitter.com/javascripts/blogger.js
I'm not javascript master but it looks like problem with Opera.

Rijk 19. September 2008, 13:59

@dom0410: I can get into the first field by clicking, and then navigate to the others with the Tab key. Definetely something going on there, I assume some Javascript form handler. Could you file a bug report?

afz 19. September 2008, 14:01

waiting for fix bug-352210(letter-spacing with Persian|Arabic languages)

It's working in other browsers because they don't use browser.js  See this: http://www.opera.com/docs/browserjs/

dom0410 19. September 2008, 14:09

@Rijk:

The site works properly on this computer

This pc is exactly the same, Windows XP SP3 and the same build of Opera..

The computer giving problems had a clean install of Opera only a few days ago.

I'd love to file a bug report but it seems to me now that the problem is specific to one computer rather than a problem with Opera.

Unless of course anyone else can confirm what I outlined in my last post?

osi 19. September 2008, 14:12

Opera still crashes every time I print a page (Mac OS X 10.5.5). :bomb:

miki69 19. September 2008, 14:15

@ AyushJ and fearphage: Thanks for the input folks!

squillaz 19. September 2008, 14:31

Kudos, HUGE speed improvement over 9.5!

Got a broken site:
1. Go here: http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
2. Click "Get my 10 Minute Mail e-mail address."
3. Send an email to X -> "X is your temporary e-mail address."
4. Buggy refresh / updating plus never displays email below even when it says you have one new message. Site works fine with Firefox.

Can anyone else confirm? I believe this is a java issue since in url it has "jsessionid". I tried chaning the user agent but it didn't make a difference. Problem occurs with a clean install of Opera plus JRE v6 update 7.

EricJH 19. September 2008, 14:35

Thanks for the new build. What is the mailproviders.xml?

AECX 19. September 2008, 14:37

@ EricJH

http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html

you have to reload several times to get the recieved email or stop loading and then hit get 10 more minutes to make it work for me.

z-o-o-m 19. September 2008, 14:46

finally, couldn't wait, thanks

pattoncito 19. September 2008, 14:47

Hope I can reply gmail messages again with this build. I came to report it but I remembered: "it's friday!". I'll let you know in a minute.

pattoncito 19. September 2008, 14:50

Gmail replying messages it's OK. Thanks guys for solving it.

ferrisnox 19. September 2008, 14:53

I have noticed on this build, and I think it is a regular behavior that you can edit bookmarks in the side panel. Why is it that you cannot get that same menu on the "Bookmarks" Dropdown menu? It seems strange that I can edit bookmarks in the side panel, I can edit in the Bookmark Manager but I cannot do a quick edit in the Bookmarks Menu, that menu is just a ‘dumb’ read only 1 click access?? This behavior at best is inconsistent.

lamarca 19. September 2008, 14:56

i dont know if its my.opera error. see below how i am getting the mail subject:

[Opera Community] Watch notification for "Another stepâŠ"

alf245 19. September 2008, 15:11

REGRESSION from Linux build 2410, version 960:
Streaming realtime quotes on http://www.finanzen.net/ don't work anymore.

friedlP 19. September 2008, 15:20

Daedalus 19. September 2008, 15:33

Heh, just installed it (quick upgrade from 9.52). The feed preview looks nice. Also, the scroll marker is neat

Odd issue: After the upgrade, Opera filled up my two empty speed dial slots (5 and 6) with the contents of the slots above them (2 and 3). Is this a known bug? Didn't find anything in a bried forum search.

Netegrof 19. September 2008, 16:03

Ohhh It´s great because the last snapshot has a lot of issue, big memory consume and some unstable behavior with some funtionalities. Thanks Opera Team, have a nice week-end. See you soon.

debonair 19. September 2008, 16:06

beautiful  just please get the bookmark star fixed and back in by default

Onecar 19. September 2008, 16:20

The last snapshot has been a bit laggish, but this build seems to be really fast again. Thanks a lot.

nataniel 19. September 2008, 16:36

Right Click > Block content... Ads or elements already blocked on page are not marked with the red banner "blocked image" anymore. Difficult to see if something important has been blocked by error when there is a problem. (Mac Version)

Buchtic 19. September 2008, 16:59

my.opera.com sync is broken

davidviolin 19. September 2008, 17:05

Thanks for the new snapshot... I know its off topic, but anyone has any info as to when Silverlight will support Opera?! Or if there is anything that we can do to speed up the process?

Btw CNN videos are still not able to fullscreen.

nataniel 19. September 2008, 17:09

Opera crashes everytime i do a search on Deezer.com

The search area of the same site seems to be "broken". Sometimes, impossible to write in, or to erase what I've written before. (Mac version)

lively 19. September 2008, 17:23

Mail.ualr.edu completely broken. A handful of error are displayed upon doing open console on error. Can anybody confirm?

1.) mail.ualr.edu
2.) Right click anywhere on the page and go to edit site preference
3.) go to scripting and check open console on error.
refresh or restart if necessary..

zadar 19. September 2008, 17:46

http://hp.lodusweb.net/fotky/sutry/

z-o-o-m 19. September 2008, 17:56

2 friedlP: try high contrast (w/b) and you will see where the problem is ... it is a bug of the site itself I think ... (images are bigger and in wrong position)

DjiXas 19. September 2008, 17:56

ebay shows fine for me

z-o-o-m 19. September 2008, 18:00

enbw.com doesn't work for me either (doesn't show correctly)

excastis 19. September 2008, 18:33

Cool keep up the good work but....

http://www.samsung.de/common/index_main.aspx
