Great! Thanks!

Fixed an issue where sent message bodies could disappear under certain circumstances

nataniel 26. September 2008, 16:44

The changelog size is impressive :ko:
Thanks for this build.

Feeds are now detected even when served as text/html

Yes ! I confirm it works on my previous broken RSS feed

Thanks for the Intel only DMG

mionn999 26. September 2008, 16:45

awesome

szotsaki2 26. September 2008, 16:47

Opera respects KDE 4 (Qt4) appearance now!
You have fixed the drawing issues (bug-362413), too. So I can use smooth scrolling with Qt4 on Linux and normal (keyboard) scrolling without glitches.
Edit: No, sadly the glicthes are still there on scrolling... (but the situation is much butter now!)

Thank you very much! These were the worst bugs I noticed.

Zajec 26. September 2008, 16:56

szotsaki2: you mean qt4 build uses shared libs now?!

Hades32 26. September 2008, 17:01

Thanks!!!

pfuschi 26. September 2008, 17:05

- Opening the configuration page of my AVM Fritz!Box crashes Opera immediately
- The ZDF.de "Mediathek" does not work correctly, can some German user confirm that?

sebt 26. September 2008, 17:07

Yay! :D

sa666666 26. September 2008, 17:10

Opening the shortcut search option in UNIX with 'Alt-Space' doesn't autoselect Google like it did in 9.52. You have to manually select Google from the list of search options first. If you don't select Google (or any other search engine), typing in something and pressing enter doesn't seem to do anything.

nataniel 26. September 2008, 17:11

Always problems with Deezer.com, impossible to search a song or an artist name with accentuated letters. Try to tape "hélène" and Opera crashes immediatly on Mac. The research box is sometime unselectable.

kyleabaker 26. September 2008, 17:18

Thanks for the update. Testing now.

masterofopera 26. September 2008, 17:18

Thanks for the new build. Testing.

szotsaki2 26. September 2008, 17:19

I see no Qt* files either in 2436 or 2426 .rpm packages.
But there is only one type of Qt4 packages, and the files in the two aforementioned are the same.
I think in the Opera executable did they modify something and thus I can use KDE 4's Oxygen style and the native Qt open/save window.

Netegrof 26. September 2008, 17:20

Opera en my Notebook Haier 53, Intel i386, graphic card Ati Radeon Xpress 200M 128 MB, when I active my visual effects the interface run bad, and see it wrong, Opera Team please fix that. My Operating System is Ubuntu, Hardy Heron.

mionn999 26. September 2008, 17:26

@Salsero_Nash it seems a problem with your OS, not Opera.

piroxicam 26. September 2008, 17:27

Horray! Multilanguage again!
Thanks for the snapshot!

pejakm 26. September 2008, 17:35

@szotsaki2:

in Your '/usr/bin/opera', replace:

test "${_QTSTYLE_FROM_CMDLINE_}" = 'NO' && test -f "$HOME/.qt/qtrc" && _OPERA_QTSTYLE=`sed -n 's/^style=//p' $HOME/.qt/qtrc` && test "$_OPERA_QTSTYLE" && set -- "$@" -style "$_OPERA_QTSTYLE"

with

test "${_QTSTYLE_FROM_CMDLINE_}" = 'NO' && test -f "$HOME/.config/Trolltech.conf" && _OPERA_QTSTYLE=`sed -n 's/^style=//p' $HOME/.config/Trolltech.conf` && test "$_OPERA_QTSTYLE" && set -- "$@" -style "$_OPERA_QTSTYLE"

This will make Opera respect Your QT4 style (configured with qtconfig).

MrGalaxy 26. September 2008, 17:39

Loading http://www.ntv.ru stops at 26% again, not fixed.

Alkarex 26. September 2008, 17:41

Great :-)

However, while you are at correcting "focus" bugs, there is still this annoying selection bug, when selecting texts that have a CSS ":after" content and a ":hover" rule at the same time.
The selection often does not work (not possible to do a copy/paste), and even when it works, there is afterwards a graphic bug with the selection that stays even after clicking elsewhere.

Here is a little test-case illustrating the Opera bug:

http://alexandre.alapetite.net/divers/vrac/20080926-opera-bug-selection-css-after-hover.html

Good luck ;-)

phylax 26. September 2008, 17:42

I eagerly installed opera_9.60.2436.gcc4.qt4_i386.deb and man is this thing broken.
Almost every page looks weird.
I tried rm -rf ~/.opera but it does'nt help.
Now i am back to build 2430 - Phew! everything OK again.
How can this happen?

deadHarlequin 26. September 2008, 17:43

address bar arrow drop down menu, broken?

edit:
weird, sometimes works, sometimes not.

dapxin 26. September 2008, 17:48

FataL 26. September 2008, 17:55

bug Please finally fix this (301620) WebForms 2 checkbox group validation bug.
This bug makes troubles (inability to submit form!) to our intranet system form submission for Opera users.
Don't let experimental features like WebForms 2 to ruin user experience! Fix this bug!

kamalesh 26. September 2008, 18:06

Very cool Mac Install graphics in Finder. Nice touch. :D

It didn't occur to me you were packing both PPC and Intel DMGs...wow, Opera mac-intel dmg is only 7.9 meg (was always wondering why the Mac install was so huge).

Great build so far!

zikzakatak 26. September 2008, 18:20

MrGalaxy 26. September 2008, 18:21

FataL,
Did u tested new Opera release for limited amount of downloads? I didnt yet. Is it limited by 20 like earlier?
If it is so, it's a pity.

vivabrevis 26. September 2008, 18:32

love it

zikzakatak 26. September 2008, 18:39

here is what is a regression for me.

gmail wont work on new and old version.

in all 9.6 builds gmail freeze or keep endlessly in "still working" mode (in new version) and loading in old version.

winxp sp3.

@ miki69

"bug-364704:

Works fine here, except for a withe space at the bottom of the page.

bug-364705:
(big black line, instead of comparison chart)
http://www.advizia.com/v41/ComparisonA.asp?User=SonyComputers- SS&Models=VGN-Z590UAB%7CVGN-Z540EBB%7CVGN-Z570N%2FB%7C

Mask as Firefox.

:sherlock: When something doesn't work the usual suspects are:
Browser identification: try to mask as Firefox or IE.
Content blocking: disable the Content Blocking and test again the "broken" site.
User Javascsript: disable that option if the above solutions fails.

BTW cars.com problem persist.

@ zikzakatak

Gmail is ok here. Windows 10433 and 10439 builds.

Mistrio_xp 26. September 2008, 19:04

Syncing doubles (in some cases even multiplies by 35) my bookmarks... have disabled it for now, no clean installation (only betas in that folder), login for syncing saved from begin of 9.5beta. Windows XP SP3

lamarca 26. September 2008, 19:32

thanks for the new snapshot.

scaRFhogg 26. September 2008, 19:45

@pfuschi, I cannot confirm a FRITZ!Box web interface crash. I have a FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7050, running on firmware version 14.04.33.

ZDFmediathek crashes for me as well, as soon as I click on the play button of a video.

elyon 26. September 2008, 19:56

Thanks for the new snapshot!

There are a couple things I have seen with the default skin using Windows XP that are small, but I wanted to bring them to your attention (if they aren't already)

1. There is about a pixel of white that stands out in the lower-left and lower-right corners of both the address field and the search field that are kind of a nuisance. Just a little visual "tick"

2. Would it be possible to make the panels button slightly larger, to match the width of the panel itself? 5 pixels worth of difference might really help.

Thanks!
