Opera 9.61 released
By Tommy A. Olsentoman. Tuesday, October 21, 2008 8:49:31 AM
If you've been using Opera Link and has had problems with Opera freezing, getting duplicate bookmarks from nowhere, eternal syncing or other problems, you should upgrade to 9.61, especially since it also has some security fixes.

It worked fine last night and this morning for a couple of hours. However, it just crashed a ten minutes ago. I am trying to reproduce that... and I'll let you know.
Best browser on Earth anyway... by far.

When I go to
http://fr.news.yahoo.com/
and I click one of the news link, I get a blank page like that one
http://fr.news.yahoo.com/2/20081021/twl-les-obseques-de-soeur-emmanuelle-cel-4bdc673.html
ot this one
http://fr.news.yahoo.com/2/20081021/tts-crise-les-marches-poursuivent-leur-r-c1b2fc3.html
Opera 9.61 does not solve the problem.
I am running windows XP SP3
I don't have the problem with my Mac and Opera 9.6.
Thank you

@hurug and others: blog comments will explode and this blog will cease to be useful to read for developers, qa people, and interested Opera users, if each and every crash or malfunction everyon experiences is posted here, complete with new comments telling about your investigations etc. Please read the FAQ to learn what feedback is most useful here.
@tamil: yes, which is useful for upgraders from pre-9.5 versions, but not for later upgrades. we've got a bug report about that...

I have not had some feedback on these two ones, so I post the bugs again:
1) There is still an annoying CSS bug when selecting with the mouse elements that have both a CSS :after and a :hover
http://alexandre.alapetite.net/divers/vrac/20080926-opera-bug-selection-css-after-hover.html
(XP, Vista, Linux)
2) There seems to be a regression since 9.2x with regard to the XML event "load" (e.g. <body ev:event="load" ev:handler="#test">...) which is not fired as it should (it used to work fine in Opera <= 9.2x). For instance, none of the XHTML+Voice examples are working as they should:
http://dev.opera.com/articles/voice/
such as:
http://devfiles.myopera.com/articles/36/helloworld.xml
The XML event "load" is only fired upon refresh (F5) (tested on XP and Vista).

UPDATE: I decided to help opera(the actual application meant) a little bit and installed clean opera, synchronized, deleted everything, closed, opened old opera, imported no-duplicates-bookmarks and ever since everything seems fine on both PSs. Maybe 'Delete all' button on web interface for opera link would find its use after all.

Edit:
I guess you added the "DSK" in front of it because you received too much spam, but I still don't understand why the number itself is so low now.

No problem here. Do you have a specific MySpace URL that doesn't work?
@ EricJH:
Ow, okay, thanks...
Now, with the different numbering, it will become quite messy in Remco's BTS... Not nice.

this is important when you drag a link to the personal bar,
the most serious issue is YOU CAN'T DRAG THE DEL.ICIO.US BOOKMARKING TOOL TO THE PERSONAL TOOLBAR.
WHEN IT WILL BE FIXED.

In case when i open login page, and security is ok, and then i type my password, click ok - new page is loaded and in this page security is broken:
1. my password is send in secure mode?
2. confidential information in second page are send to my in secure mode?
3. all connections are not secure?
Any option exists to break connection when it is not secure? (on https)

thanks Rijk

@tareqf1: there's no need to yell in here. I'm not sure what you are trying to drag from where to where, but note that since Opera 9.5 you have to press Shift before being able to drop things on toolbars. Or first open the Appearance dialog.
@Metalnoise: we really needed a new bug system, and compatability with Remco's system was not top priority

Have been experiencing this for about 1.5 years now - on and off.
Bugreport is on its way.
