Turbo in 10

Opera Turbo included in 10
If you have a laptop, use slow wifi or mobile networks it's time to start using Opera 10 snapshots: Opera Turbo is now included! Since the labs release, a number of improvements have been implemented
New file layout in installation and profile directories
Traditionally the files installed by the Opera installer are named and layout differently per platform. For instance on Mac, preferences are stored in "Opera 9 Preferences" while on Unix and Windows this file is called "opera6.ini". In Opera 10 these differences will disappear. If you upgrade to this snapshot, the files will be renamed and moved to the new location.
WARNING: Please only test upgrading if you have backed up your Opera profile!
Known bugs when upgrading:
New sprelling cshecker
In this snapshot Opera now uses the hunspell library as spelling checker. This provides better spelling suggestions and improves compatibility with several dictionaries.
Crashlog reporting, now on Linux!
In the previous post on this blog we asked you to upload crashlogs generated by Opera. Please continue to send logs, several crashes have been fixed thanks to your help!
Linux
builds now also automatically create crash logs. You can find them in /var/tmp
WARNING: This is a development snapshot: it contains the latest changes, but may also have severe known issues, including crashes and data loss situations. In fact, it may not work at all.

If you have a laptop, use slow wifi or mobile networks it's time to start using Opera 10 snapshots: Opera Turbo is now included! Since the labs release, a number of improvements have been implemented
- We introduced a new (experimental
) Turbo setting: Automatic. If you enable this feature Opera will turn on Turbo when the network is slow. You can enable automatic mode in the Web Pages tab in the preference dialog. Opera will also show you a special notification when you are on a slow network and Turbo is not yet on.
- Fixes to downloading of images
- Impossible to click links on some sites
- Gmail problems solved
- Improved performance

Lost:
Bookmarks, Wand, Speeldial(known), Mail Accounts everything.
I used the MSI installer, and had Multi User=0, Windows 7, and my profile on D:\Opera

The same application works fine online, but on my intranet all sessions fail.
The build o100s_1229 works fine.

Opera doesn't copy the settings from the old .ini to the new one when upgrading.-One folder has been move inside "profile", mail, good change..i was mistaken about the moved folders i talked about before.
If you can make a post about the changes on folders naming, moving. Also DSK-248777 and DSK-248779 fixed.

-opera6.ini is now operaprefs.ini.
-operadef6.ini is now operaprefs_default.ini.
-Cache4 directory is now Cache.
-Images directory is now Icons.
-The "profile" directories are eliminated and the contents of them moved up one directory level.

YES. perfect! This is how Opera should be: it should have the most automatic features as possible (automatic updates, automatic turbo mode, and so on and so forth...), the more, the better.

On OSX I am getting weird font problems on this site
http://www.macheist.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=14530
Both on this build and previous builds.
Also weird yellowing of some text in the drop down on the addressbar with some of my themes. I guess it is a problem with the themes.

This build seems rather unstable though, I've experienced two crashs in the first ten minutes, and it's been months since the last time I experienced a crash...

However the spell-check now only gives me English, while in the previous build I have several other languages installed.
What is the procedure now of installing these again?
zoquete # 3. April 2009, 17:02
like .mini does not work. Could somebody confirm?

I've noticed strange yellow artefacts in background on Twitter, Deezer and others websites. You can see the screenshots here : http://img24.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=twitter.tif ! I use the Mac version.

Speeddials were kept.
Custom layout and menu has been reverted.
The cache folder changed.
The bookmarks somehow changed.

Suddenly I have a letter in brackets after many names.
Is this on purpose?
I will try a clean install now.

One clean reinstall later, everything works fine, but oGet no longer installs - presumably because of the changed configuration file names/locations.
Hopefully, someone can post manual install instructions or Lex can bring us a fix soon.

This is the first build in a while that has worked really well with Digg.com, comments render correctly and the login is working much better.
Thanks for all the hard work!
