Second build of the week
By Haavard. Friday, 26. June 2009, 14:44:04
We decided to release another build this week to let you have something to play with over the weekend. Since the previous build, there has been a bit of UI work going on, and some fixes to UPnP (Opera Unite).
We have also enabled some experimental UPnP code, so please report any unexpected network related issues that you come across. There may be more crashes than usual when using Unite with UPnP enabled, but any crashes can simply be reported through the new crash dialog.
In addition to that, we have the first 64-bit Qt4 builds for Linux.
As a final note, the native skin is still not finished, so there is no reason to comment on it yet. (Let's see how many of you actually read this
)
No automatic updates this time around.

WARNING: This is a development snapshot: It contains the latest changes, but may also have severe known issues, including crashes and data loss situations. In fact, it may not work at all.

How can my Ubuntu computer automatically update the version of Opera that I have to the latest build? I wish I didn't have to manually download and install.
With Chrome/Chromium on Linux, I don't have to do anything for Chrome and Chromium to be updated, even though they are also just builds.
Thank you.

1. Shift + I no longer works as a show/hide image shortcut.
2. engadget.com (the only example I've found) doesn't always display up to date pages, even when pressing refresh.

Why the Alt+F11 shortcut to hide/unhide the menu bar is exclusive to Unix (by default)?
Why the Close All Pages But Active, Close all pages and Reload All shortcuts does not exist in the Opera Standard shortcuts (only in the 9.2x)?
Wladimir # 26. June 2009, 17:56
sudo dpkg -i op....
EDIT: installed

Also the video player on the right side (under "video-news") is not visible.
I hope it will be fixed with the next build. THX

Regression since version 9.5
What appears to me is that Opera 10 still contains most version 9.5 regressions, despite significant version number change:
Opera 9 - Presto 2.0
Opera 9.5 - Presto 2.1
Opera 9.6 - Presto 2.1.1
Opera 10 - Presto 2.2.15

Again, on the downloaded Debug Menu, testing a local site, I can disable images, but it's impossible to enable images again, even if you reload the page, images keep disabled. You have to close the tab and open the document again.
I love the new menu and it's great that you changed the "transfers" for "Downloads"
Please don't forget bug DSK-257115
Cosma Sebastian Adrian # 26. June 2009, 19:10
IRC transfers are working now...
Please change the opera icon.......... please
When i create a new mail/chat account, after the chat menu appears in the panels also the icon for the "show menu bar" appears in the lower left corner near Panels icon. The menu bar is activated anyway. It disappears again if i toggle it.
Also i can transfer only 3 files trough IRC after that i have to restart opera to download again. I get the message that x is sending me x file and then it just hangs, no next line with link to download.
GrantTLC # 26. June 2009, 19:14
Careful now, that's coming dangerously close to the weary cynicism we all get from dealing with the public for extended periods!
If it helps, I always read everything you write for these snapshots, carefully.
Remy # 26. June 2009, 19:17
Edit: it seems that disabling the Unite server did the trick.

300+MB and 500MB virtual memory!
Not happen all the time but happen very frequent.

However menus in wolfram/alpha search engine still not working (when there is a "More" option available, like for example for this search:
http://www09.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=2+potatos
Menu shows only partially. Reported as site problem, 'cause I don't know if the wrong coding is on Opera's or site's side.
Could be considered as showstopper. Reported
