Hi!

My name is Kristine and I'm in Desktop QA doing first-line bug testing on Windows. I've been working at Opera since 2006, but i've used Opera all my life. In fact, it was the first browser I ever used :smile:

This new snapshot contains stability fixes based on crashers reported by users. Other highlights are Unite fixes and skin fixes such as updated icons. On Mac, admin password is no longer needed when reporting crashes. On 64-bit Linux, Opera will find plugins more easily.

There is also a new design for error pages, fraud warning page and internal pages so upgrade and check out the new opera:about and error page design.

First impression: error pages are way too bright.

But error pages are a tick too red - now aday it's not a problem... but at night? maybe u reduce the color attack for the sleepwalkers out there ^^

However, the buttons on the address bar are too far up and to the right.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but Opera's error page doesn't have any animated siren icons and i hear no fire alarm audio in the background. The sheer importance that this page currently represents is largely over inflated. I have filed this bug as DSK-258483. I have alerted the appropriate parties.

EDIT: I feel like this post should have been in all caps to encompass the magnitude of the importance that the new error page emits.

I did like the brighter colour of the tabbar from last build better than the darker one now.

But i do like the opera: pages, very nice! Also the error pages are very good!

There are Qt3 builds! Perhaps you missed them because of the change in the rpm file names to fix a bug?

Congratulations !
It's still running without problems on Windows NT4 SP6 (with Active Destop installed).
Please, keep going like that. I know there are still quite a lot of this OS installed (for FUN, NOSTAGIA, or simply COMPATIBILITY with old sofwares).

Good work on the skin this time around on new build Opera Team...:yes:

The Black is Back!!...Tab Bar that is!:wink:

However, I think the Preferences Dialog Box should match the same scheme as the tab bar and the links 'arrows' at the lower left for Opera Turbo; Unite and Links seem lined up. Can't tell unless someone else comments.:wink:

And to add...there is still hang time on the page loading on various sites even this blog.

edit: oooohhh...the error pages are too reddish for my taste...an error page for a broken link should more be "informative" than like I spilled blood...guys and gals @ opera...see if you can tone it down a notch...

LOL. Yep, that red error page is overly prominent and needs to be toned down or red on white instead. The white text on red background is eye straining and makes me not want to read it.

Ouch...the all-red error pages are not a good idea in my book...it physically hurts just to look at it...:frown:
The opera: pages, on the other hand...very nice.

Support for X11 core fonts seems to have been removed since beta one. Did this happen by intention or is this a bug?

EDIT: X11 core fonts work fine here now, thanks to arghwashier.

About the error you get when opera can't find the page. Is it possible to add an option to search the entered url with a search engine?

The opera:* pages look much better now. (It's all a little too bright for my taste though). The buttons on the opera:* pages are too height for my opinion. Would it be possible to make them a little smaller?

Thanks for new build and black skin again. :up:

I preferred the last builds status bar (the bottom one).
The new one is to thin, Opera Turbo button and Opera Unite were better a little big bigger.

The Hidden menù bar button looks better now.

The not centered new tab highlight was resolved by canceling the highlight p:

I hope this doesn't change, core-x fonts suck big time, you can change the setting here:
opera:config#UserPrefs|EnableCoreXFonts

In the opera:plugins page I can scroll (10px or so), but there is no need for it (page fits well, only the background scrolls), resolution is 1024x768 (if needed: Qt4 32 bit, this build of course).

And I agree with the other comments about the error page, it's just to red.

Great ... it looks great! Tabbar is back to it's cool darker version, and the menu icon starts at the first pixel of the screen. This looks OK now. The only thing is the bottom right rounded corner of the menu button, which looks odd here. http://imagebin.org/55235

Skin issue:

When error page display an XML parse error it's show a text in white over a white background.
