By Huib Kleinhouthuibk. Monday, November 23, 2009 8:53:39 AM
We'd like to thank everyone for testing the snapshots, and thereby helping to iron out the last issues. The latest snapshot (windows build 1893) is the final release. So if your running that build you do not need to upgrade.
Are you using Opera 10.10 with Unite? Please help us to spread the word about the new release!
Download Opera 10.10
Stay tuned for 10.2 alpha snapshots! :-)

So can you give us some more info about what 10.20 is going to be about? Will it be a Presto update to 2.4, without the exciting new stuff (carakan, vega etc.) but including the new presto stuff (

I can't select another option with Arrow-Up/Down-Key.

Now I'm using Opera rc-4742. I tried to install the final version for Ubuntu 9.10/10.04 but the installer displayed an error message: 'Newer version has already installed.'
Should I keep on using rc-4742, or uninstall it and install the final version?
ChrisCjcr # Monday, November 23, 2009 9:25:22 AM
suppose to be launched for a major version...

I think it would be great if there was a blog post on what we could expect in future versions of Opera, kinda like the post on Opera 9.5 and 10.

You can change this setting in the Preferences (Extra->Preferences->General->Startup: Start with Speed Dial.
Understandably.
*Robert90 is hoping soon enough will be this week

10.2 is 10.20 and 10.1 is 10.10. Some people knock off the redundant final 0, that is all.
To further clarify (even though you personally did not ask this).
10.1* will be the stable line (for now)
10.20 will be the unstable line (for now), with at least one major new feature over what is in 10.1*.

If that really doesn't work for you then use Opera config. Post the following in the URL field and hit enter:
opera:config#UserPrefs|StartupType
Set this value to 4, click save below and then restart Opera.
P.S. If you have more questions like this please ask them in the forums. This blog post is about the 10.10 release.

Apparently closes without any user action (noted overnight 2 times).
Probably can be coincidence but it's stange since other programs run continuously.

This may not be it, but use something like Process Explorer to check for any "strange" DLL's loaded with Opera (using the "Lower Pane", Ctrl+L).Excluding the *.nls ones, and all the <Pagefile Backed>, any DLL that doesn't have a "Company Name" and "Version" most likely shouldn't be there.
Could also check the TCP/IP tab under "Properties" for Opera.exe for odd connections even when Opera is idle (might want to temporarily disable Link, Turbo, & Unite)
There's at least one sort of "rogue" (malware) DLL that will automatically get loaded into most applications and establish a connection to some server somewhere, but for whatever reason (and somewhat preferably) it will crash Opera after about 3 hours when it's idle.
Forget the name of the DLL now, or what it was classified as (none of my virus-scanners picked it up), but happened to me a few months ago.

Normally, when i start typing in the url bar, i get a list of sites with those words from history or from my bookmarks. But with this version, it is very slow or doesn't display at all sometimes. I noticed this lag earlier in the snapshots for 10.00 with unite included, but disappeared in the final. Is it related to Unite somehow? or is this problem unique to me?

When I want to download new final, tar packages distributed with gcc4-shared-qt3. But I can download previous B and RC versions packaged by gcc4-qt4.i386.tar.bz2 or gz.
So, I don't update my Opera to final and always being Beta or RC release user.

On http://www.opera.com/browser/ there's a nice blue Speed Dial background. Where can I get it?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi, thank you very much~for your help...
Run Process Explorer and almost all DLL's for Opera are from MS, Opera, Adobe and Comodo (firewall); remain items are 5 NLS's without company.
On "Preferences" I have some https's, all from something "1e100.net" (searched and it's probably from GMail tab I have open); and 2 items "*.*" (UDP ports)
[BTW, overnight I only left open tabs with GMail and eBay; and I'm sure I have only these tabs open today and yesterday
On the other hand, last system full scan with Avira was saturday - I'm currently run another (but I need about 5 hours to complete)]

Sharing has never been easier, than today with Opera.
I am really looking forward to Opera 10.20, what nice
new (and partially long awaited) features will it bring?
Possibly:
*Private/Incognito/InPrivate/... Browsing
(FF3.5; Safari 4; Chrome 3; M$IE8)
*Advanced Plugin Manager (global & site preferences)
(same as or even better than than FF 3.5)
*Complete FF-NoScript Functionality
*Plugin-, Widget-, Unite-app- and search-engine
Auto-Update-check (look @ FF 3.5/3.6)
*Google maps search-engine default included.
*Advanced AD-Blocker: Blocking of specific AD flash
and AD text like the pictures and auto AD block-list download
(same as or even better than than AdBlock+ @ FF 3.5)
These are the things, that the most Firefox, Safari and
Chrome (and M$IE) user are missing and keeping them away from Opera.
Edit: Opera with Qt4.5.x for Linux would be nice.

64bit Qt4 Linux = opera-10.10.gcc4-qt4.x86_64.tar.bz2
As to why www.opera.com/download doesn't link to them for anything other than openSUSE 11.2. This has been covered before.

select HP and then try to choose exact HP model - opera (including 10.10) is SLOW to death here... very, very, very slow. Firefox on the other hand is like super turbo rocket with this form ;/

If your scan completes without anything, or nothing that would affect Opera, maybe check any scheduled tasks you might have, VScan, Defrag, Automated Backups, etc... possibly (though you probably would have thought of it) Suspend/Hibernation, or a weird conflict with your screensaver... :| lol

The only issue I found is "saving as: html+img",but maybe I have a misconfigured WinMe-system!?
The new design of opera.com is eyefriendly and very impressive, better than the old one, which was too bright.
THANKS FOR 10.10 & GOOD LUCK [ ! ]
