Opera Desktop Team

Acid3 and more

Ready for another build? We've fixed a few crash bugs, and Carakan has been updated to made sure Acid3 shows 100/100. Middle-click scrolling should also be working.

If you are having problems with Java, please check that the Java plugin is listed in opera:plugins, and that you are using Java 1.6 (not 1.4 or 1.5).

WARNING: This is a development snapshot: it contains the latest changes, but may also have severe known issues, including crashes and data loss situations. In fact, it may not work at all.

But that was 100% even in the previous versions (with or without Carakan); for ex., it shows 100% on an older Linux build (the latest available, 6208).

noelneh Monday, February 8, 2010 9:56:04 PM

Hello Opera Team!

Thanks for including the previous build for Windows ME!

Very quick and fast in your releases and the operation of the browser.

Did not expect a new release this soon.

Will try this one for testing....Thanks Opera.

There was a regression in the previous windows build.

"New page" gesture is still broken.

Томица Кораћtomica Monday, February 8, 2010 9:57:59 PM

Is the Opera Desktop Team on steroids or what? smile I sure hope the 10.50 is getting polished nicely. Gonna give this new "hourly build" a go smile

Dennis TardioTardio Monday, February 8, 2010 9:58:25 PM

Trash still appear like a folder in Opera, and in Opera Link page. Can't delete it.

But when i delete a bookmark, it go into the REAL trash and not in the folder on the Opera link page. (not in opera)

Thomasdaimonion Monday, February 8, 2010 9:58:31 PM

Damn it.

Crazy update frequency.

Hope you get some sleep tonight.

Zarko Hristovskizarkoh Monday, February 8, 2010 9:58:44 PM

a dime for every build up
fixing crashes is more important than makeup, hope the beta turns out stable enough.

I mean they are going too fast to really fix the bugs and make a way to the beta and final.
Windows 7 Jumplist (open new tab / open new private tab) still broken...

Still crashes opera b 3236, crash-log automatically send.

But Inspectr is now quiet. (with 3234 it alerted)

I think Opera 10.5 Beta Should be just around the corner for this fast release of snapshots. I believe this week or the next we should have it smile

I'll possibly switch to a permanent use when it does.

GAMESNunoMouraz Monday, February 8, 2010 10:03:43 PM

You're not making any sense Luik. They're releasing snapshots at a higher frequency than ever (which is a very good thing), it's obvious that this means fewer bugs fixed per snapshot, it doesn't mean fewer bugs fixed per day.

Since they seem to be working weekends and nights now i'd say that the bug-squashing rate has probably never been higher.

poorrichard01 Monday, February 8, 2010 10:05:19 PM

I have a complaint: I think Opera needs to pick up the pace. Let's have hourly builds, shall we! smile

Wolf-2 Monday, February 8, 2010 10:05:27 PM

They probably read the comments and add to the list of bugs to fix. Work on the snapshots won't stop when they release one, they'll be fixing other bugs while waiting for feedback on the snapshot

Andrew NguyenSouthernCross Monday, February 8, 2010 10:05:55 PM

Hovering over ad links (like the one on most free forums, ie: the word "website" in a person's forum post would have an ad link to it.) causes the web page to freeze, Opera doesn't, but when I click on the frozen web page, Opera crashes.

This happens a lot on www.neowin.net (unless your a paid-subscribed reader, then the ads links won't show.), a lot from them lately, eh?

For the record, if you have a bug to report, use this form, it's the only way to make sure it is not overlooked. The devs can hardly be expected to read every single comment.

How many engineers are there now? youre serious about speed.

OMG the blank page is still there, otherwise its perfect.
Thank youuuuu!!

Dennis TardioTardio Monday, February 8, 2010 10:12:20 PM

Well, i put this damn trash folder in the real trash on Opera 10.10. Appaear in the real trash in Opera Link page.

But when i delete this damn trash folder from the real trash, it stay and still appear in the real trash on the opera link page...

Teuntweeny Monday, February 8, 2010 10:20:41 PM

7-zip.org still crashes by me too (windows vista, 32bit)

Vectronic Monday, February 8, 2010 10:21:12 PM

Not critical:
Checkbox Skin.selected is still missing from default skin.
Error Console is a black cube on first launch, and/or if there are a lot of errors, it eventually loads, just... looks bad...lol

Speaking of which, this site (as in the one you are reading):
1. Declaration syntax error: filter:alpha(opacity=0) !important; ... think it's missing a }
2. xfloat is an unknown property: xfloat: left;
3. 10.1 is ok with xFloat, but not ok with border-radius... not major, just seems "odd"

And DragonFly makes the Error Console spit out about 12 of these:
NotBoundWarning: WindowManager, OnWindowLoaded for any site...

poorrichard01 Monday, February 8, 2010 10:23:33 PM

YouTube still messes up....Half the time I can see the video, half the time it's a white screen with only sound.

BS-Harou Monday, February 8, 2010 10:24:18 PM

I still catch the first page, party

zoquete Monday, February 8, 2010 10:24:39 PM

They fix only reported, confirmed, reproducible bugs of high importance.

Not every "bug" you report here.

Stanleyfreerider Monday, February 8, 2010 10:25:34 PM

do you sometimes sleep?
or you have some daily and nightly shift?

problems: zive.cz -crash

Thx. You guys are in a hurry.

Show stopper submitted as DSK-279713. Opera looses bookmarks as described in this topic.

It happens when the new version starts with no operaprefs.ini (I delete the operaprefs.ini to start with a "clean slate" for each snapshot).

Hector Macias Ayalahectormacias Monday, February 8, 2010 10:29:38 PM

Will there be a third one? hehe.

I just noticed some parts of the interface are in english and some other are in spanish in my setup which is supposed to be spanish, I speak english but it is still kind of weird to have "Page tools" above "Imprimir (Print)" and Settings, instead of Opciones.

It's just not translated yet, nothing to worry about

pAULSG1 Monday, February 8, 2010 10:37:35 PM

Should closing last private tab cancel all private downloads? If so, where's any warning? If not... well, then we have another buggie.
And I still would like to have any use for Widget Sidebar (as alternative to Win methods). It's really easier to manage this way.

Александр Карпинскийhomm Monday, February 8, 2010 10:38:00 PM

peacekeeper complex graphics test is still 2-3 times slow then previous builds.
