No rest for the wicked

Even with the beta out, there still isn't much time to rest. We've got another snapshot, and this time there are quite a few crash fixes, and updates to Carakan and widgets.

The main focus of this snapshot is crash bugs.

We will get back to you with Unix and Mac builds in a future snapshot.

WARNING: This is a development snapshot: it contains the latest changes, but may also have severe known issues, including crashes and data loss situations. In fact, it may not work at all.

The problem with your bug list is there are no bug numbers (like DSK-12345). That leads me to believe you simply complained about them and didn't file them properly. *sad face*

I've reported some of them and the rest is here about 5 times on every page, so I guess that someone else reported them =)

Known issues: Geolocation is still disabled.

Complaining in the comments is not the same as reporting a bug. There is one site where you can report bugs. This is it --> https://bugs.opera.com/wizard . The page you're reading right now is not the same as that page. Good day, sir.

TinyMCE still is not working correctly.
If I want to add a link it calls a dialog which is always empty (
http://files.myopera.com/callia/files/tinymce.jpg).

You can try it there - http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/examples/full.php

Is it tinyMCE bug or Opera's? right

Do you mean that you fixed the crashed in this snapshot or should we search crashes in this one?

However my opera crashes if I close a pdf-file. Is this a known issue? Confirmations? I send a crash-report but didn't filled a bugreport yet.

Can't even scroll on Gmail. (Confirm ? Windows Xp sp3)

Crash on m.lastpass.com fixed.yes

I asked this on the beta version comments also. Is mouse gestures working properly? The context menu comes up everytime for me.

twili Wednesday, February 17, 2010 2:30:12 PM

Thanks!

One Issue I have since 10.5 beta:
Positions of items in personal bar don't get saved after moving them. (I use around 50 entries in 3 rows)

Submitted DSK-281705.

Are you a Leaether Strip fan perhaps?

Christianc1973 Wednesday, February 17, 2010 2:36:38 PM

yes Thanks!

Some issues I see:

- context menues still have no icons (edit: in 16 bit mode)

- in download manager I have no context menu when right-clicking on link in "From"-line

- when status field is placed next to it, address field shrinks when moving mouse over long links or table cells with title attribute during loading the page

Nice. Naturally crashers get priority when closing in the final release but I hope that before 10.50 goes final many of the non-crashing bugs will be fixed.

The main concerns for me are related to Mail and Feeds, the data seems to become corrupted very easily at least on my case (the mail database is originally from Opera 8.5 or Opera 9.0 times and has been through all the updates all the way to 10.50).

Bug reports have been filed for all issues except some feeds becoming corrupted, getting randomly content from other feeds or mail. I cannot find a reproducible case for this, so I have not made an official bug report of it.

EDIT: Look at the reply above mine. Talk about feed corruptions...

In any way, keep up the good work! It's appreciated smile

The MSI installer doesn't give me an option for language... or seem to detect mine... so it installs some other language with no option to change. Classic worked, though.
