Keep in mind that some sites will fail due to lack of proper browser.js (for now).

come on guys, i gotta go to bed, it's 00:13 here in Turkey but you are keeping me in front of my computer with yet another RC. many times thank you for your hard work and commitment.

Daned4n3 Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:15:16 PM

Wow, you're putting in some serious crunch time smile Shouldn't you guys be in bed by now? smile

I just realized... Are you guys trying to push a release out before the big european MS Windows browser changeover tommorow?

It seems to me that the current RCs still have quite a lot problems... I hope that doesn't drive people away :S

Matheus S. Bitencourtmacusking Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:15:39 PM

Just to make sure... am I suppose to be able to update to RC2 from the built in update checker? I am so far running RC1.

I tried... but it says I am running latest version although RC2 is out.

This is not available through autoupdate.

There are too many comments for us to be able to respond to most of them. All the off-topic comments don't exactly help either, and sadly drown out legitimate comments like yours.

Fully understandable. Checking out 3292 now, thanks!

this one is annoying the heck out of me, really.

BS-Harou Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:23:33 PM

please fix DSK-281715 before final. (btw in last +-3 builds there is bug with horizontal scrollbar - just follow the steps in bug report).

Saribro Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:24:01 PM

I can't seem to log in to GMail, I keep being dumped to the login page after entering my user/pass.

I understand that the schedule is a little tight at the moment and there are certain priorities which aren't autoupdate. But could you explain the feature: Download all snapshots? Will it function in the future?

make opera Masked as FF on that page and you can at least post

Haavardhaavard Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:25:05 PM

Unfortunately, "Burning Board Forums kinda work" doesn't really help us much if it was intended to be feedback for the new build smile

If you have any specific problems, I recommend that you describe them clearly and concisely. All the off-topic comments have a tendency to drown out legitimate comments, so it's difficult to know what people are referring to even if they may have posted it before.

If there is time. Autoupdate is a bigger process because we have to verify that it works before we publish the build, the servers need to be prepared, and so on.

Bookmarks still slow to be loaded.
Systray icon not disapear on closing Opera. A mouse over is needed.
UI color can be way better.

Christianc1973 Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:27:50 PM

In my opinion, one really important thing to fix for final 10.50 is to bring back icons in context menus when running graphics adapter in 16 bit mode under Windows XP. Important because - among others - quick preferences (F12) are not usable as check marks are invisible.

http://files.myopera.com/c1973/files/missing_icons_16bit.jpg

Mod edit: No need for inline images. They only create noise.

ohxten Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:28:01 PM

Just so you know, all of the issues reported here (all of which were also reported in the wizard) still occur in this release. smile

Confirmed, although minor, my guess is that it'll be fixed in the next (minor) update after 10.50.

sorry unconfirmed... gmail works fine for me.

Francesco De Domenicofrankdd89 Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:30:27 PM

DSK-284241 still not solved.
If you disable the status bar in the aspect menu, close and reopen opera the status bar is reactivated

Saribro Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:31:01 PM

Never mind my GMail post, seems a solid cookie-cleansing + restart was required.

if you use opera as it is you always get an error after typing and clicking "post" and the post is gone

masked as IE -> you can quote someone, but not add anything yourself

masked as FF -> you can post normally, but the top bar where you can just click to add Bold, URL and other code is missing and inserting smileys by clicking on them doesn't work either

hope that helps more

Aditya Patelrushad0 Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:33:36 PM

Yahoo mail (the new version, not classic) does not load.

Classic version loads fine.

PTAarakast Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:33:47 PM

@Haavard
Try the TinyMCE on the following page (and on other pages using this type of message board):
http://demo.woltlab.com/index.php?form=ThreadAdd&boardID=2
Line spacing doesn't work well when pressing enter, and after entering a few lines and hitting preview ("Vorschau") the text is display as following:

line 1
line 2
line 3[MSIE_newline_end ]

Reported it as bug 280271 a few weeks ago; newest Opera (RC2), Win7x64

Cheers,
Pablo

RachidRachidNL Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:34:03 PM

Whoops, looks like there's a serious glitch with the ALT+TAB window:

http://rachid.nl/operaclipping.png

Hope you'll fix this before 10.5 goes final. Will file a bug report too if this isn't known yet.

(I think btw TinyMCE should be invoked in this edit comment window but it is not. Who can confirm?)

Александр Карпинскийhomm Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:34:15 PM

Opera can't load local files as default browser if not latin characters in address.

Why? RC2 will either be the final release, or is at least very close to it. It could probably be regarded as final in terms of stability.

Aditya Patelrushad0 Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:37:14 PM

Haavard Buddy...

http://www.hindilinks4u.net/ crashes the browser immediately. This is the one you asked me to submit report with email address.

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this. I'll see if someone else is able to. It will be very difficult to fix this without being able to reproduce it here.

Does it crash with a clean profile?

mjpa Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:40:36 PM

I really hope DSK-282518 will be fixed soon, makes browsing forums annoying when you can't use the "go to latest post" style links properly.

Same goes for the double click on the tab bar causing the tab content to not be in focus so you have to then click on the page before anything will work

how about just redirecting all those comments to the community forum, under 'off topic blog' ? then they cannot complain about it, and may actually use it... smile

Possible bug:
when try to download a .torrent is non possible to enable "Remember choice and do not show dialog again" check box, when select external bit torrent software.

Win7 64bit

JosemiJosemi16 Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:41:06 PM

This site crashed for me on RC1 and RC2... I am using Win7 x64.

Let me try with a clean profile.
