Drag and drop bookmarking still drops in the wrong directory. The parent of the targeted directory.

Darkwing Duckchp101 Monday, March 1, 2010 9:39:15 AM

It's too fast! Just installed RC3 5 mins ago, and here ya go.. RC4 smile

BTW pre-RC build synced 2gb of data (bookmarks). Was that fixed in RC?

MetalRaise Monday, March 1, 2010 9:40:20 AM

Removed beta from version number in opera:about

As for the interpretation of the font of CSS, I want you to return it before 10.10.
Please correct it by 10.51.

Correct display example

Wrong display example (10.50)

Does anyone know why, with the new rendering engine VEGA, smooth scrolling isn't so smooth anymore as it is/was in Opera 10.10?

This is really a shame... Hope this can be improved further for the new VEGA engine.

Matheus S. Bitencourtmacusking Monday, March 1, 2010 9:46:51 AM

Wow, other build? are you crazy, developers?

MichailNTMan Monday, March 1, 2010 9:47:24 AM

Speed of development is great, but would not like to see the raw release.
Waiting for fixes ticket: DSK-279218, DSK-282559, DSK-279445, DSK-284050

andrewzandrewz1986 Monday, March 1, 2010 9:48:04 AM

Almost none of bugs/suggestions I already reported haven't been fixed so far and too many things remain undone till now... Disapointment. worried

mrd Monday, March 1, 2010 9:48:33 AM

Ideally (but in real world almost never) you want less bug fixes per release because then it's easier to nut out any regressions caused.

Given those two noted fixes are big ticket things (couldn't release with windows native with it breaking the product and a bunch of well used sites with same tech I guess?) I'm betting unless anything major (not pet fixes or hates) then this could be it.

Andrew G.consalt Monday, March 1, 2010 9:49:10 AM

Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you, Opera!!!!

krrm Monday, March 1, 2010 9:49:42 AM

Saurabh Kumarsaurabhloyolean Monday, March 1, 2010 9:49:44 AM

Speak for yourself. I wouldn't mind 10+ builds a day.

@staff: Keep them coming guys. up Are custom buttons functioning considered a "pet bug"? (%u in buttons)

I think that means they consider it low priority.

markuznw Monday, March 1, 2010 9:51:38 AM

Please work on memory management... can't be that it uses almost 100mb ram with 4mb cache setting just opening google and goes up to even half gb with just a few tabs opened. Opera used to be efficent, now it's becoming more memory bloated than firefox sad

P.S. Btw you did a very good job on the core, finally opera is becoming compatible with most of the sites smile

People need to understand that 10.5 is already a huge step forward from 10.10. People need to understand that at some point a software must get released, despite all issues - new and old.

If any of you guys actually follow these snapshots in this blog, then you also know that a short while after 10.5 is out there will be new snapshots of whatever comes next.

Before the release is near, don't expect a lot of fixes to get in anymore... but they might come in the next version's snapshot. So keep your chin up. You can live with a few regressions for a while. We all live with them anyway and with any version. smile they do get fixed eventually...

Go 10.5!

fashisti Monday, March 1, 2010 9:53:36 AM

first time geting a chance to comment on first page.

+1 bigsmile

No, new smooth scrolling is better then 10.10.

carmatic Monday, March 1, 2010 9:53:55 AM

opera unite apps have problems

for example, the Whiteboard wont store anything which is drawn on it, everytime you open its page, it will be blank

also, Task Manager doesnt work, it gives a 404 page saying "the address was not found"

Einar Holtenx-byte Monday, March 1, 2010 9:54:56 AM

Google Maps street view is black for me. Been an issue before?

These are all Windows NT 4 specific issues. They will get fixed if that is possible without too much effort, but they will not hold a release.

Andrewandreynep Monday, March 1, 2010 9:55:59 AM

It's great! But please pay your attention to NTLM authorisation!

mjpa Monday, March 1, 2010 9:59:57 AM

Been in builds for a while apparently but, right click on a taskbar thumbnail (Win7) and click on maximise (requires Opera to not be maximised) and a ghost window appears.

Confirmed.

Use a skin with more transparent inactive tabs then. Please understand that our Standard skins needs to work and look decent on a wide variety of system settings - think about the title bar having a totally different look in Windows XP (solid bright color) Windows Vista (dark when maximized, partially transparent when restored) Windows 7 (always partially transparent).
