Windows 10.52 snapshot

This is a snapshot of Opera 10.52 for Windows.

In this build, there is a possible fix for some network problems when using proxies. The same fix might improve on the "Waiting for DNS confirmation of cookie domain(s)" message some people are seeing (try clearing cookies if the problem persists). There is also an attempt at fixing a problem where a corrupted cache would cause problems when viewing e-mails and opening attachments, and a few site compatibility fixes as well.

For more changes since the previous Windows snapshot, in addition to the changelog below, see the changelogs for the Unix and Mac snapshots that have been released since 10.51 final for Windows.

Known issues
  • Unite is not working (404 error)

WARNING: This is a development snapshot: it contains the latest changes, but may also have severe known issues, including crashes and data loss situations. In fact, it may not work at all.

omg! opera 10.52 for windows...great! If every 2 weeks windows gets a 10.5n update, mac and unix user will skip a 10.5 final going directly from 10.10 to 10.6! lol

Daniel HendrycksDanielHendrycks Thursday, March 25, 2010 4:28:51 PM

Sunspider time dropped by 15 milliseconds yes However, Peacekeeper scores went down a bit, I blame complex graphics, when you get to the part with the spaceship in Peacekeeper, the loading bar shows up twice very quickly when that test is in session, that is probably the cause of this.

Can not confirm.
Looks fine on both 10.10 and 10.52

Check installed UserJS, might be a problem...

I wait a long time, but videos doesn't work with 10.50, 10.51 and now with 10.52.
I had no problem with 10.10.

Not confirmed, but this issue is present on other sites.

DSK-290436 Mouse gesture over flash on some sites crashes Opera E.g. http://www.nvidia.com/content/global/global.php

How about GPU accelerated Vega? You did mention it some time ago, when are you going to make it real?

No, it's not, I don't see the problem you have.

Try to a) clear the cache and b) go to right click - site preferences - delete komus.ru cookies and check other options too.

"The same fix might improve on the "Waiting for DNS confirmation of cookie domain(s)" message some people are seeing (try clearing cookies if the problem persists)."

I'm sorry, the problem is still there for me even after cleaning the cookies before I went to the page where this problem always occurs.

Toxigene Thursday, March 25, 2010 5:13:21 PM

Upgraded Opera, started it up, and on http://www.opera.com/portal/startup/ got "Waiting for DNS confirmation of cookie domain(s)". I had to restart Opera to even make this post.

Ironic. Seems like the increase in speed of Opera got nullified or even overshadowed by the time I have to keep restarting it to make it work.

Can anyone confirm 100% CPU usage in Google Reader while this box
"Do you want to allow local JavaScript files to control secure pages? You should only allow this if you know what your JavaScript files contain and understand the security implications."

is showing?

Martin KadlecBS-Harou Thursday, March 25, 2010 5:15:23 PM

this build has worse score than Opera 10.51 in Peacekeeper:
O10.51: 2664
O10.52: 2334

Unite not working in this build for me. Every application and the unite home page are 404.

Bug DSK-281359 (no number at Download using Vodafone SpeedCheck)
resp DSK-288546 "Missing digits in DSL speed measure applet" (using Vodafone SpeedCheck - www.speedcheck.arcor.de) still not fixed.
This test doesn't function correct since Opera 10.50!!!
No problem up to 10.10, seems to be a prob of the new java-handling?!

fixing would be nice - it's not necessary to wait up to next year...
wink
