Fixing bugs

,

This build contains more NSL (Never Stops Loading) fixes, in addition to stability fixes and general bug fixing. We also have a partial IAccessible2 implementation on Windows.

Note: Please ensure that your comments are on-topic and relevant, descriptive, and yet somewhat brief. Avoid repeating things. For longer comments, use the forums instead, and avoid posting images inline (use links instead). Too many off-topic comments will just prevent us from being able to read through everything, and that prevents other people's feedback from being heard. I've hoped for Linux beta... ;-(

Robin SchoutenRobinSchouten Friday, April 16, 2010 9:45:48 AM

That's a large and good looking changelog!

Well done, I'm back to Opera again.

There are some Desktop/UI and Core fixes. They are interesting too.

Thank you for the release, up

Thx, but what is a "partial IAccessible2 implementation"??

It is definitely coming. Don’t loose faith in us just yet. smile

It means the screen-access features aren’t complete, but is slowly getting there. wink

Things have been fixed since the last snapshot but need further internal testing before we stick them in a public build. You should see some interesting fixes next time.

I gues, the fix Fixed DSK-290066 (Gray out/disable 'remove from toolbar' for the One O Menu button)
is the cause of that.

villianvilliansv Friday, April 16, 2010 10:13:53 AM

This bug's been around since the rush to 10.5 final (appeared in one of the alphas then). Notes can't be copied from the notes panel by right-clicking the note and choosing "copy" (or highlighting the note and hitting ctrl+c). Selecting and copying the content of the note works, but that's more cumbersome. Bug is submitted as DSK-294099.

Sure, it should come really soon, according to that diagram here:

NRK Nett-TV seems to work fine here, using Window Media Player. I'm not sure what you mean by "doesn't work", though.

Allegro.pl - some pictures at the bottom of the auctions is still not working... new.meteo.pl - MODEL UM and the other does not load... Do something with this, please.

When Media-Player is seleceted on the settings it loads up and the following appear on the screen "Klippet du prøver å se er ikke tilgjengelig. Vennligs prøv igjen senere." And this happens everytime when i try to watch live. And on Silverlight the loading never stops aka NSL. sad

Great changelog! I really did not expect a new Mac snapshot after yesterday's beta that fast!

God I hope this fixes the incessant crashes I've had with the previous build! Haven't seen such a crash-happy Opera in years...

Opera 10.51 and this release 10.52 hangs on maps.google.com. It does not crash but hangs.

Thanks for fixing the BetterTouchTool crash on OS X (would be even cooler if one could still freely move/size the window as for Opera 10.10 - saves some pixel-space)

This page still leads to a freeze - but only when you let it load completely (and then click a link):
http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/index.html
If you stop the loading you can scroll down and click links and it works...

Some of the DejaVu fonts are still not displayed

So far so good. I think some of the font problems were solved too but it might be just placebo. Can any developer give me an info about RGBA implementation for GTK+. Is it even possible... I know it is possible for GTK+ applications, just Opera is bigsmile something in between...

I'd really like to see Z1-GLASS skin working under Linux bigsmile

This opera build (and many previous ones) don't work correctly with alternative keyboard layouts on Mac OS 10.6.

Steps to reproduce:
- Select the keyboard layout: 'Dvorak - Qwerty Command'
- Start Opera
- Try to close/open new tabs with Command+T, Command+W, etc -> Incorrect dialog screens appear
- Close all Opera windows (don't close the application)
- Open a new opera window
- Retry the Command+T and see that they now do work.

Corey Mwambacoreymwamba Friday, April 16, 2010 11:07:54 AM

Ah... after build 6273 I had horrible font rendering, but now the fonts are nice again. And the browsing speed is fantastic!
smile

CSS3 transitions/transformations are jerkier than in the last build - back to the quality of a couple of builds back.
And, once again, no Java.

That is primarily because of "Plugin MIME types without file extensions don't work" and a couple of other small issues. However it is known and it will be fixed.

This snapshot seems much more stable than the previous one on Win7-32. Thank you!

Btw, when can we expect to have geolocation back in the snapshots? 10.60?

Arguments for "execute program" not send to external program

Good up But extra quotes not fixed.
[Status Toolbar Tail.content]
Button, "Test"=Execute program, "C:\ShowCmdL.exe", "test"

Result: "test" (wrong result, because extra quotes)

Links from external applications don't open in Opera
Can't open mht/html files if file name contains CJK characters

Hmm.. Launched Opera still can not open the file with cyrillic in the path:
"c:\Program Files\Opera 10.5\opera.exe" c:\тест.html -> Could not open file:

Bookmark processing (changing properties) sill causing huge spike in cpu but not the long, long hang in the previous release

64bit kde4

sinnfrei Friday, April 16, 2010 11:42:38 AM

With multiple tabs open, right-clicking a tab and choosing "Close All but Active" does not close any tabs, leads to 100% CPU usage and no further right-clicks are recognized by Opera - left-clicks and browsing/scrolling still works though...
